Nance Leedy’s Clean-and-Simple challenge at The Paper Players asks us to make a clean card with a leaf. I love the crisp colors of Fall and have used them a lot over the past weeks, so I thought I’d switch things up a bit today. I decided to keep my project light and fresh – this combination of Old Olive and Soft Sky (with a lot of Whisper White) is a breath of fresh air this time of year, don’t you think? Here’s my card:
Does it get simpler than that?! Here’s the banner for Nance’s challenge that inspired my card:
- Hello There. Sometimes I sound like a broken record, but I love a sentiment that combines a beautiful script with a bold print. Both of these sentiments are found in the stamp set that comes with the Oh Happy Day Card Kit – I combined them to beautifully and simply say “hi!” Who doesn’t love a “just saying ‘hi'” card?
- Beautiful Leaves. This branch of beautiful leaves is found in the Remarkable You stamp set. I’ve showcased this set a lot, so I’m sure you’ve already taken my suggestion to add this set to your wishlist, right? While there are three beautiful flowers in the set, this branch has given me a lot of mileage. Here’s a project I made with these leaves earlier this year – you can click on the photo to see my write-up of this card (including measurements for each layer).
- Fresh Color Combination. Amidst all the Christmas, Thanksgiving and Halloween colors, this combination of Old Olive and Soft Sky is quite refreshing. A lot of white space gives these colors space to shine. If you like this combination of colors, too, please save this:
