Over the past month, I’ve gathered some gorgeous Holiday cards as a part of my Holiday One-for-One Swap. I love receiving them, sending them back out and sharing them here. I’ve been sharing these cards over the past week-and-a-half. If you missed the other posts, you can see them here:

Today’s a little bit different. Instead of just sharing a parade of cards, I’m sharing two cards from the swap that really stood out to me as special – cards by Barbara Moody and Carrie Todd. Here are their cards:
How gorgeous are they?! I’m sharing them together because they have some really wonderful things in common:
- Both cards showcase wonderful reds – Barbara’s card features Real Red, while Carrie’s card showcases Cherry Cobbler.
- Both cards are beautifully layered with gorgeous paper – layers and layers that work wonderfully together.
- Both cards use pops of metallic shine to enhance their cards – Barbara’s card shines with gold, while Carrie’s card features pops of copper.
Barbara Moody’s Santa’s Sleigh Card. There’s nothing simple about Barbara’s sleigh card. You can see the time and energy that went into every detail – from all the beautifully stacked layers to the intricately cropped presents and bows. Barbara used the Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits to create an intricate, gold foil sleigh carriage that lays perfectly over the red sleigh. How gorgeous! She bent her photopolymer stamp (easy to do) to align it with the arch of the oval. Brilliant!
Here are some of the primary products used in this card:
Carrie Todd’s Wonderful Year Card. The fun sentiment and Carrie’s off-center panels work perfectly on this card, but it’s the accents that make this card so rich and gorgeous. Carrie used the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to created a textured backdrop for her sentiment. The pops of Copper are plenty – Carrie incorporate Copper Foil Sheets in the outside layer and the little tree, Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder in the sentiment and Copper Metallic Thread as a perfect accent. I adore everything about this card. Here are some of the products Carrie used on her card:
Aren’t both of these cards gorgeous? While the cards are very different from one another, they are special for very similar reasons. I hope you’ll leave a comment below to let Barbara and Carrie know how much you appreciate their artistry.
