Stampin’ Up!’s So Very Much

I’ve been at-a-loss about how to creatively present the big-and-beautiful “thank you” in So Very Much, a stamp set that you can choose for free with every $50 you spend during Sale-a-Bration.  It’s a keeper!  I decided to dress it up with a bundle of soft flowers at every major loop in the design of the set.  So easy!  Here’s my card:

So Very Much, Blooms & Wishes, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, thank you card

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • So Very Much – a Sale-a-Bration Freebie.  While So Very Much is one of the first Sale-a-Bration sets I selected from this year’s amazing assortment, I’ve only used the small sentiments – until today.  I love a big sentiment that can fill the front of a card – especially  when the sentiment is so beautifully written like this one.

I knew I wanted to “dress it up” a bit so I added these little flowers from Blooms & Wishes stamp set:

  • De-Christmasing the Card.  Even though I stamped the larger flowers with Flirty Flamingo (not a Christmas color), I kept seeing little poinsettias on this card front.  I originally planned for this card to have a Flirty Flamingo frame, but I changed to a Peekaboo Peach frame so that I could focus on the soft peach (the least Christmasy of the three colors).  Did you see Christmas before I said this?  Do you see it now?  If I were to remake this card, I’d stamp the larger flower in Peekaboo Peach and the smaller flower in Flirty Flamingo.
  • Sweet and Soft.  Together, these three colors are so soft and sweet.  They don’t look like Christmas – unless you choose a flower that looks like a poinsettia.  🙂  If you like this combination of colors, too, please save this:Stampin' Up! 9. I LOVE this stamp from SAB although I don’t have it as of yet! I love the layered look and the colors of springtime! It’s soft and bold at the same time. I love it!

  10. Oh Master of Color Combinations – you leave me speechless! I would never, ever have put these colors together but you have shown me the light! LOL Seriously Brian, this is a fabulous card and I love it!

  11. I will save these colors as they are terrific together. Love the placement of you flowers too. Very clever. Super card!

  12. I didn’t see Christmas until you mentioned it. However it is very subtle. I agree changing the colors would help diffuse it. The idea to put the flowers in the big curves of the sentiment was brilliant. It makes for a great visual placement. Thanks for sharing.

  13. This is one beautiful card! I didn’t see Christmas before and I don’t now either. But with a poinsettia used instead, it would make a wonderful thank you card for a Christmas gift. Such a clever design and colors.

  14. So soft and pretty ! Now I will be looking at LOOPS in a different way !
You are not only CUTE ,but also CLEVER !!
    Love this big sentiment !!

  15. Beautiful! I love the large Thank You. I didn’t think Christmas until you pointed it out, but new idea for when the Christmas cards start rolling out.

  16. Great design with the florals, and the colors scream spring ( which we need right now: 11° but with the windchill it’s -8°. AND it snowed again). Love the thought of hooking the blooms to the loops. I fell a CASE coming on.

  17. How very lovely! I love your choice of colors and your attention to detail on flowers at each loop is amazing. Well done!
    Brian!

  18. I only see Spring …beautiful card.

  19. Soft and lovely. I don’t have these particular Stamp sets but the design is so versatile I am sure I can use others to make it my own.

Nice card. I had not thought of Christmas until you mentioned it. You are the king of versatility.

  21. Really nice card, B. Thanks for the inspiration!
