Coffee Break Designer Series Paper for CTS241

I’m excited to share today’s project.  Since the moment I finished making it this weekend, I’ve been excited to share it.  It features colors and images I love from a Designer Series Paper I love.  It’s all pulled together with a super-fun sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch – that I love.  I don’t want to build it up too much (I never want to disappoint), so here’s my card:

CTS 241Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Coffee Break Designer Series Paper.  I’ve been in love with the Coffee Break Designer Series paper since it was introduced earlier this year – I love the images, patterns and colors!  I love the papers even more as the mornings get cooler (I enjoy my coffee even more on cold days).  With only two little stamps on this card and a couple of borders of cardstock, I pretty much used this cardstock to create today’s card.  Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper:  Coffee Break Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!Coffee Break Designer Series Paper is one of the papers that’s on sale in October (buy 3, get 1 free) – you don’t want to miss this deal!  What fun!  Click this banner to see all the papers that are a part of this special:
  • Snip-Snip-Stamp-Stamp.  I snipped the super-groovy coffee pot and the sweet cup of coffee from the one page of the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper and layered them on a 2-1/4″ circle of Whisper White cardstock.  Such an easy way to use some of the images in this pack of papers – there’s a variety of mug, pots of coffee and French presses to choose from.  I didn’t need to stamp or color a thing to have a fun image for my layered circle.  The card features two small stamps that play a supporting role in this card.  The sentiment is from Merry Cafe, a stamp set from the Holiday Catalog:

The little wisp of steam is actually the water that blows out from the whale in Message in a Bottle – how fun is that?!:

  • Retro Colors.  I couldn’t share this card without talking about this gorgeous combination of colors.  I love all the warm and sweet colors used in this pack of papers – my card features three of them – Garden Green, Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz.  If you like the retro feel of these colors as much as I do, please save this:Stampin' Up! 11. Oh Brian – you just amaze me every day! I so wish you would send me some of that ability to combine stamp sets! I spend a lot of time looking through the notebook I made by photocopying every new stamp set I get in order to complete a card. Yet you just remember what is in every one that you have. Baffles me! Love today’s card (as always).
