There’s hardly anything more adorable than the trio of party-going pandas in Party Pandas, one of Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Sale-a-Bration incentive items. This stamp set of pandas can be earned with a $50 order – and you can earn plenty of other items with every $50 you spend. To learn more about Sale-a-Bration, please click here. For today’s project, I made a super-sweet, super-simple baby card. What a great way to welcome a new little one. Here’s my card:
- Party Pandas. I’m in love with these guys – and I’ve been “working” several of my customers and team members to convince them that these black-and-white herbivores need to be in their craft rooms. It’s been a fun challenge! π Here’s a look at this fun Party Pandas stamp set:
I love the simplicity of the stamped images – they are crisp and clean with beautiful, solid lines. I love that I don’t really have to color the images in – maybe add a little color to the balloon or hat or envelope, but there’s no need to add color to the animals. That makes it so easy to add to a clean-and-simple project.
- A Little Panel for Panda. I often set my uninked stamps in the corner of my grid paper to determine what size of panel I need to showcase an image. I only needed a 3-1/2″ x 2″ panel for my adorable panda. He fit perfectly in the panel (I stamped him there with my Stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect placement). Because that left a large white space in the top, right corner of the panel, I added two sweet banners to the lower, right side of the panel. This helped me to balance the panel a bit by adding a little more weight to the bottom of the panel and by pulling your eye away from the large white space a bit. See! I tricked you – you didn’t even see the white space. I’m good! Here’s a closer look at this sweet guy:
- Sweet Colors. The Sweet SoirΓ©e Specialty Designer Series Paper has me reaching for Marina Mist a lot lately. I’ve always reached for Pool Party and Soft Sky for my “soft blues,” but I’m getting a soft space in my stamping heart for Marina Mist as of late. Here’s a look at the patterns and colors in the Sweet SoirΓ©e Specialty Designer Series Paper:
I pulled three colors from this speckled page to build this sweet card – Marina Mist, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight. If you like these colors as much as I do, please save this:

Do you love these little guys as much as I do? I hope so! Please reach out to me if you want to earn a set of these playful fellas!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Thanks, Mary! This card started with a different idea, but it came together perfectly for me. Glad you like it.
Aww!! This is just so adorable and perfect for welcoming a sweet new baby.
Love the detail of the banners too!!

Maria.
Thanks so much, Maria! I love this guy – and I love this paper. <3
Love, love , love! Love the panda stamps, love the card, love the “black-and-white herbivores” description!
π Thanks, Dianne! I try to be scientific when possible. <3
I have to admit Brian that this set really had no interest for me – that is until today when I saw your oh so sweet and loving card! Now it is in the “gotta have it” section. This is one of the sweetest baby cards I have ever seen. Love it!
Awww…thanks so much, Grace! I’m thrilled that you like it. It’s a great set! <3
I have a new thing on my βto do listβ for today. I have got to make this card! I love it!
Yay! It’s a great set – versatile for birthday, baby announcements and more! I’m so glad you like it, Liz! <3
Brian this is so adorable. I happen to love this stamp set and youβve used this little guy beautifully.
π Thanks so much, Robbye! <3
I have been using the pandas for my hospitalized kids valentine project. Now, I have a new layout to use as I love the panel and the little flagged pieces. I have been using a bunch of paper I had in my stash with teeny hearts on it and dots etc. so this layout will be perfect to use. If I need a baby card, I will be CASEing this as it is too cute. Thanks again Brian!
Yay! What a wonderful project, Chris! This layout is perfect for what you’re doing. How sweet! <3
Cute cute panda! That set is sitting on my desk waiting for me to use it. Love your card!
Thanks, Christina! There are so many ways to go with these little guys. You’ll have lots of fun with it! <3
How incredibly sweet! Love the color combination, and will be using it soon.
Thanks so much, Sue! It’s a sweet combo, isn’t it?! SO glad you like it! <3
So cute for a baby card Brian! The little panda looks like it has a diaper on! π
Haha! He sure does! That’s so funny – maybe I subconsciously knew that he was primed for a baby card. π Thanks!
