I’m excited to share a sweet-and-simple Valentine’s Day card that features a few products from the Painted with Love Suite in Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Occasions Catalog. Simple layers and clean borders really make these products stand out. Here’s my card:
I created this card with inspiration from the Clean-and-Simple Love Notes Challenge at The Paper Players this week. Here’s the banner for Joanne James’ challenge:
- Sure Do Love You. The Sure Do Love You Bundle makes a wonderful treat box (if you missed my club project with this bundle, click here), but the bundle makes a sweet card, too! I love the textured appeal of the images in the set – so sweet for an artistic look. I alos love the oblong shape of this heart and coordinating die. Here’s a look at the Sure Do Love You bundle:
I love the painted backdrop of this piece of Designer Series Paper. The images pair perfectly with the beautiful colors and patterns in the Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper:
- White Borders. I love the clean, white borders that are left on the heart and banner when cropped with the coordinating Framelits. I decided to mimic the white borders on the other layers of the card. I love how it makes the other layers so clean and crisp and frames all of the other elements so beautifully. I used Thick Whisper White for all the popped-up layers on this card.
- Color Combination. I might have never paired Calypso Coral and Melon Mambo without inspiration from the Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. There’s still something shocking about the orangey Calypso and pinky Mambo, but I kinda like it! The large panels of Rich Razzleberry give a rich backdrop for these colors to shine. If you are inspired by this combination, please save this:
Bundles: Sure Do Love You Bundle Stamp Sets: Sure Do Love You Papers: Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, Rich Razzleberry, Thick Whisper White Inks: Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral Accessories: Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I hope you’ll pop over to the Paper Players site to see the cards by the design team members and to play along with this week’s challenge.
Thanks for stopping by today!
