This week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge gave me the inspiration to dust off Lemon Zest and the Lemon punch – what a super-fun bundle. With one stamp and three inks, I made a combination of lemons, limes and an orange. Here’s my card:
And here’s the banner for the challenge that inspired my card:
- Lemon Zest Bundle. As we look at all the awesome Spring-themed products in Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Occasions Catalog, don’t forget about the amazing products in the 2017 Annual Catalog. The Lemon Zest Bundle is one of the best – a fun set with a great punch! It’s perfect for Spring! Here’s a look a this fun bundle:
I love the combination of sentiments in this Lemon Zest stamp set. The outside:
The inside of the card (I even added a little citrus to the inside of the card):
- Attempt 4. I tried several different backgrounds for this card – I cut patterned papers to use as the backdrop for this row of citrus from Tutti-Frutti 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, Birthday Memories and the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack. While I really, really wanted to make a designer paper work, the Whisper White background just worked best. I had to pull back, squint a bit and just settle for the white – glad I did.
- Citrus-Cool Color Combo. The fresh, crisp appeal of this card is mostly attributed to the citrus-cool colors – Lemon Lime Twist, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie. Love them all – but together they are amazing. I love the fresh, bright landscape of this card – don’t you? If you love this combo of bright, fresh colors, please save this:

Bundles: Lemon Zest Bundle Stamp Sets: Lemon Zest Papers: Lemon Lime Twist, Pumpkin Pie, Thick Whisper White Inks: Lemon Lime Twist, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Archival Basic Black Accessories: Lemon Builder punch, 1-3/4″ Circle Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I hope you’ll pop over to the CAS(E) This Sketch site to see the cards by the design team members and to play along with this week’s challenge.

OK Brian… This is the one card that makes me want to purchase this suite and punch. Fabulous card amongst all your other cards!
Get it! Get it! Get it! I’m so glad I picked this one up – it’s a perfect Spring/Summer set! 🙂 Thanks, Carolyn!
Lovin’ all those little lemons (and more) coming in for a landing. Great job with a tricky sketch!
Thanks, Mary! I wasn’t sure I’d be able to fill the page with citrus, but they are so bright and cheery. Thanks for your kind comment!
I love how you popped that orange in there Brian! Brilliant!
I needed a little something in that sea of yellow and yellow-green. The tiny orange helped me balance out those colors. Thanks, Dawn!
Great color palette and I love the sentiments that you chose. I think your interpretation of the sketch is truly unique and you executed it beautifully.
Thanks so much, Robbye! I love the sentiments in this set – such fun! <3

What a refreshing card! Your squinting paid off – nice!
Thanks, Dianne! 🙂
In the midst of 8 degrees F. with a slight breeze, this card brought summer and warmth back to my frozen brain. I am picturing myself on my deck with an ice cold glass of lemonade………aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh. Rats, now I have to come back to reality! Well, thanks for the mini vacation Brian and the beautiful card that brought it on. Fabulous interpretation of the sketch!
Glad I can offer the momentary escape, Grace. <3 Funny that I can make you want for a glass of ice cold lemonade when it's 8 degrees outside... Thanks for your comments. 🙂
Love this! I have this set and haven’t inked it because I couldn’t decide how to use it. this is perfect and I will CASE for my next class. Can you please confirm the dimensions for me, PP 3-3/4 x 5 and WW 3-1/2 x 4-3/4? Thank you sooo much for designing a card to get me to use this set. As always you are right on with your design and color usage. 🙂
Thanks, Debbie! I’m thrilled you love the card. I don’t have the card anymore, but I think they are probably PP 4″ x 5-1/4″ and WW 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″. Thanks for your kind comments!
Thanks! Made it and it’s perfect!
Yay! Thanks for letting me know!
