“Your thoughtfulness brightened my day.” What a sweet way to say, “thank you,” and what a great opportunity to make a sweet, Spring-themed card. I was inspired by this week’s sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, the adorable image from A Good Day and this modern, fresh sentiment from Daisy Delight. Here’s my card:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- Daisy Delight. Daisy Delight (and the coordinating Daisy punch) were the hottest ticket in town last year when Stampin’ Up!’s 2017 Annual Catalog first made its way into our lives. The Spring-themed bundle took a back seat while we focused on Christmas cards and Valentine’s Day cards. Now that we are preparing for warm weather and peekaboo flowers, maybe it’s a good time to reach for these items again? Here’s a look at the Daisy Delight Bundle:
Daisy Delight Bundle, Stampin’ Up!
This fresh, modern sentiment doesn’t seem to fit with the more rustic images and sentiments in the rest of this stamp set, but I love it, so I used it here.
- Spring Has Sprung. I adore the little images in the A Good Day stamp set, which debuts in Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Occasions Catalog. Is there anything more Spring-like than a beautiful tree with a swing? You can almost feel the warm air and breathe the fresh air. I stamped this little tree with Archival Basic Black and added touches of color with four Stampin’ Write Markers: Crumb Cake, Lemon Lime Twist, Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flaming. There’s not a lot of color, but there’s just enough to brighten it up a bit. Here’s a look at the other images and the fun sentiment in this stamp set:
A Good Day, Stampin’ Up!
- Soft Sky. There’s a lot of Soft Sky in this card – and I love it! Not only did I build my card with a base of Soft Sky, but I added another panel of Soft Sky AND a Soft Sky band from the Bundle of Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. While there’s no Soft Sky in the focal point of the card (the Very Vanilla oval with the stamped image and sentiment), the panels beneath set the airy tone for the bright-and-cheery circle. Here are the measurements for the layers on this card (starting with the base and working my way to the top):
- Soft Sky – 4-1/4″ x 11″ (scored at 5-1/2″)
- Thick Very Vanilla – 3-5/8″ x 4-7/8″
- Soft Sky – 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″
- Bundle of Love Specialty Designer Series Paper – 2-1/4″ x 4-1/2″
- Thick Very Vanilla – Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies

Aww!! what a sweet image Brian, love the way you played with the pattern paper in your design, it made me think of a nice Spring rain out on the back yard where my grandchildren used to play and refused to come in the house when it was raining, sigh!! 😉

Okay – so after spending days looking through the Occasions catalog why haven’t I bought this set!!!!! I love tiny things and tiny images. I guess I’ll be starting a new order now. With this unending winter I think a card with the little “Bring on the sunshine” stamp would make a these dreary days a little more palatable! I love your card today Brian. It reminds me that winter doesn’t last forever. LOL

I am getting a little sappy over this set and especially this stamp! I love your layers. Ah the thought of spring – we are having such strange weather. Today sleet with little snow pelts and then just warmed up to 33 degrees so it is melting in spots but now a big wind and sort of foggy and oh so gray out! I would love to be swinging on that swing on your card. I loved to swing as a kiddo and even now I might still enjoy it.
