Manly Moments & Stealing the Show with Paper Pumpkin

Even though I’m a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, I don’t often talk about Stampin’ Up!’s subscription kits. Each month, a box arrives with everything I need to make a fun project – what fun! After assembling my May kit and with great anticipation for the June kit, I want to give Paper Pumpkin a little love today.

Manly Moments

Let’s start with May’s kit called Manly Moments. This kit came with 10 cards, 10 coordinating envelopes, a versatile sentiment stamp set and a Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Spot. Such great shapes, colors and patterns in this kit! Here are two of the projects I completed following the directions from the kit:

The sentiment is attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the bottom panel of the card, allowing the top panel to tuck under the sentiment like a matchbook. Here’s how the re-envisioned card opens:Alternative May 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit, Manly Moments, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingHere’s a peek at the kit subscribers received in May (if you haven’t yet received your kit, then please don’t click on play – I don’t want to ruin the anticipation for you):

Stealing the Show in June

Stampin’ Up! is breaking ground with June’s Paper Pumpkin kit – and I couldn’t be more excited! The June 2018 kit coordinates with a suite in Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Annual Catalog. How fun is that?! While I can’t yet tell you the name of the bundle that coordinates with the kit, Stampin’ Up!’s graphic kinda’ gives away the secret – if you have a copy of the catalog, then you know what suite this coordinates with:

June 2018 Paper PumpkinThe bundle at the center of this project will definitely be on my Favorite Things list – you’re going to want it – so the coordinating Paper Pumpkin kit will be a must-have, too.

PREPAID PAPER PUMPKIN OPTIONS

There are several ways to pay for a Paper Pumpkin kit – you can subscribe (see the link above) and pay as you go OR you can purchase a prepaid Paper Pumpkin subscription that can be added to an online order or workshop (which means you can also earn Host Rewards on the upfront purchases). Yay!

Here are the Prepaid Paper Pumpkin options:

To give you an idea of what you can expect, here’s a look at the videos from April’s kit and March’s kit:

I really hope you’ll give Paper Pumpkin a chance – especially since the upcoming kit will pair with a suite you’ll be excited about. <3 I’d love for you to choose me as your Demonstrator when you sign up for Paper Pumpkin.

  1. Oh! How I love that matchbook fold! I’m having a card party with 4 ten-year old girls and this would be a great fold for them! You clever, clever man, you! Thank you for sharing! Would you be willing to share the dimensions of the card?

  2. Love your alternate idea, especially the way you flipped the hexagon!

  3. Love the matchbook fold card, Brian. Great job of switching up the Paper Pumpkin design to give it an entirely different look. Enjoy your day!

  4. Nice job. Don’t you think this month’s stamp set is one of the best? I love saving the Stampin’ Spots to use on the Stamparatus. Paper Pumpkin is just such a smart buy!

  5. Hi Brian:
Strange you should pick this Paper Pumpkin kit to feature today. Yesterday one of my daughter’s was here visiting and she assembled the March kit while I put together the May kit. This is one of my favorite PP Kits EVER! We had so much fun together – lots of laughs that ended with each of us having a supply of completed cards. I LOVE Paper Pumpkin!

    • Yay! I love to hear that, Grace! So glad you enjoyed both of these kits! Such fun that you were able to share Paper Pumpkin with your daughter. <3

  6. I may not be overly excited about every month`s projects BUT ….I love the stamp sets (Photo) and Stamping Spots !! It is always fun to see that box show up because I love packages in the mail plus I love the surprise of opening it . It is a great value !
Your cards are great . I haven`t done mine yet . I have enjoyed the April kit with the nautical theme . I mixed some of my other SU sea theme stamps with it ….fun !!

    • Thanks for your comments, Sonny! I’m so happy you like the Paper Pumpkin kits – they certainly have been great lately! I always look forward to the arrival of that little box. <3

  7. May’s kit is a great way to let kids make a cute Father’s Day card with out the worry of too much glue or other messy things traditionally associated with children making cards. I really love your alternative and I can’t wait for June.
