Unless you’ve been under a rock for the past two months (and I hope you haven’t), you’ve seen lots of projects with Stampin’ Up!’s Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. It’s amazing! I want to share a little bit about why I love this paper so much and also share some color combinations that work beautifully with the pages in this unique stack.
Over the past two months, I have shared cards that showcase the patterns in the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper – it’s fitting that I would share what I love from the Share What You Love papers, right? Here are some statistics about this paper and what makes it so special:
- Includes 24 sheets (4 each of 6 double-sided designs) of gorgeous, hand-painted floral and decorative designs. That’s a double pack!
- 4 of the designs include a translucent, pearlized finish (Pearl is the 30th anniversary gift – and Stampin’ Up! is celebration it’s 30th anniversary this year)
- The sheets are heavier than standard Designer Series Papers. That makes these papers great for cards AND 3-D projects.
I often pull my colors right from the papers as a starter. That’s a huge benefit of our Designer Series Papers – they are designed with the amazing shades in our color families, so the pair perfectly with our cardstock, inks and accessories. Here’s a look at the patterns and colors in the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper:
Such a great mix of beautiful and fun, don’t you think? This pack of papers includes Basic Black, Blackberry Bliss, Crumb Cake, Grapefruit Grove, Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, Petal Pink, Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron, Tranquil Tide and Whisper White. What a great mix of soft, sweet colors – and a lot of green options!
Here are some cards I’ve made with the pages from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper (you can click on the photo to read the original post about each project):
Today I’m going to share a couple more suggestions for pulling these colors right from the patterns in the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.
Straight from the Papers
These colors are combined from the colors exclusively in this pack of Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper:
Combined with Other Colors
By adding one other color to the shades in these patterns, you can really transform the feel of the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. Here are some color combinations starters that feature two colors from this pack of papers and one color from outside the pack:
By limiting the colors you’ll use in a project (or expanding the colors to those outside a pack of papers), you can really find some beautiful color combinations for our projects. To see all of the items that are part of the Share What You Love Suite, click on the image below:

Wow Brian – that was a lot of information in one post. I love that you share the color combinations all the time. I can’t tell you how much time that saves when I work on a project. You are just THE BEST! Thank you.
I’m so happy to share, my friend! The colors are what drew me to Stampin’ Up! in the first place – they will always be my first love. <3 Thanks!
Thanks! I usually go with just the colors listed on the Designer Paper package but now will step out a bit!
That’s a perfect strategy to coordinate perfectly with the colors in the papers, Dianne! I do the same. These colors help to stretch that list of colors a bit. <3
I love anything with Petal Pink. However, the combo of grapefruit, coral and olive wins me over!
Thanks so much, Mary! That color combo made me happy, too! 🙂
These are all beautiful colour combos, Brian, and so useful for customers! Thanks for sharing them. My favourite is Mint Macaron, Grapefruit Grove and Crumb Cake!
Thanks so much, Heather! That’s a warm combo, isn’t it? I’m so glad you like these color combinations. <3
I love how you share your knowledge with us. This is going to be very helpful going forward.
Yay! I’m so glad. Thanks so much, Robbye! <3
