A Fall Beauty with Blended Seasons

Today’s card shares a Fall theme with a Fall color scheme and a Fall-appropriate sentiment. Based on all that, I think you could call this a Fall card. I used the limited-release bundle, Blended Seasons, to make this card, and I hope you like it. Here’s my card:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Blended Seasons. During August (or when supplies run out), Stampin’ Up! is offering a selection of new products that should definitely be on your “must have” list. The new bundle is called Color Your Season, and here’s a look at the products that are now available:
    • Blended Seasons Bundle – 149893 (wood) or 149894 (clear)
    • Blended Seasons Stamp Set – 149019 (wood mount) or 149016 (clear mount)
    • Stitched Seasons Framelits – 149013
    • Watercolor Pencils (Assortment 2) – 149014

The stamp set is pretty spectacular (it’s a wonderful, all-year-round set), and the Framelits are a must-have. Here’s a two-page flyer that shows you everything in the bundle:

Blended Seasons Bundle, Stampin' Up! 149894I used the gorgeous collection of leaves and the beautifully-scripted “Thank You” from the Blended Seasons stamp set. I cropped the smallest stitched frame in Coastal Cabana and added a cropped leaf from the coordinating Stitched Seasons Framelits.

  • Background Stamping. I filled the background of this Cajun Craze panel with stamped leaves. The stamped leaves give a lovely texture to this focal panel – but not enough to steal focus from the gorgeous sentiment in the stitched frame. Blended Seasons, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingWhile there are all sorts of stamp-positioning tools to get your images perfectly aligned, I still reach for my retired Stamp-a-Ma-Jig. I started with one stamped image of the leaves in the center of my Cajun Craze panel (getting as much coverage as possible from the start). I then used my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig to fill in the remaining spaces, coming at the first stamped image from the sides of panel – who cares what it looks like off the panel as long as the leaves look great ON the panel. 🙂
  • Unique Color Combination. I love the mix of colors on this simple card – it features a Neutral, two Regal and a Bright color in one project. I think Coastal Cabana, with all its cheery delightfulness, plays well with these warm colors. If you are inspired by this color combination, please save this unique mix of “all-C” colors:Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration: Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Coastal Cabana
