2018 Holiday Catalog – My Favorite Things, part 2

Yesterday’s post was dedicated to my favorite Fall-themed, Halloween and All Occasions products in Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Holiday Catalog. If you missed it, you can click here to see my choices.

Today’s favorites are all about CHRISTMAS!

My Favorite Things

Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Holiday Catalog is INCREDIBLE! What a gorgeous showcase of some amazing, new products that, I suspect, you are going to love as much as I do. Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators have enjoyed playing with some of these new items for the past month, but this week is our first chance to order many of the new items. I have a HUGE wish list, and I’m always excited to share that list with you.

Hopefully this list of my favorite things will help you to shuffle or whittle down your list – or it might inspire you to add some items you overlooked. Either way, I’m happy to share my favorites.

In an effort to narrow down my list a bit, I’ve lumped my favorites into categories. Some are themes, some are product lines and some are accessories. Today’s list of favorites includes Christmas and winter products that make up the bulk of the seasonal catalog.

ALL IS BRIGHT SUITE

What a great way to kick off the Holiday Catalog – the All is Bright Suite is an incredible start to a wonderful book! While I often pull back from the reds and greens of Christmas, this is what the Christmases of my childhood look like – rich reds and greens, bold sentiments, reindeer and ornaments.

All is Bright Suite, Stampin' Up! 2018 Holiday Catalog, 11015You can see all of the products in the All is Bright Suite by clicking on the picture above, but I’m sharing a closer look at some of my favorites below

  • Merry Christmas to All Bundle. You already know how much I love, love, love a good sentiment set, right? Well, this one is over-the-top because it showcases a variety of printed and scripted words that can be combined for almost any Christmas saying you want. I LOVE the four Thinlits that accompany the set – “Merry, Christmas, Happy, Holidays”. How great are they!? They are perfect as the focus of a card or as a supplement to the images you love for the holidays. Here’s a closer look at the Merry Christmas to All Bundle:Merry Christmas to All Bundle, Stampin' Up!, 149952
  • Dashing Deer Bundle. Reindeer are not generally showcased in Spring or Summer – that’s because they only live during Christmas and hibernate the remaining 364 days of the year. So, that’s not true – but I think you know that. Still, reindeer are a gorgeous symbol of Christmas, don’t you think? I love the beautiful deer in the Dashing Deer Bundle – and I love the Christmas-themed “thank you” sentiments. Shortly after I received these new bundles on Stampin’ Up!’s Alaska Cruise Incentive Trip, I made a card that showcases both of them together (you can click on the photo to read my original post):

SANTA’S WORKSHOP SUITE

Fun, fresh and festive. This is how I’d describe the fun characters and images in the Santa’s Workshop Suite. I adore these elves and the pairing of Santa and Mrs. Claus. The colors are fresh, and the artistry of this suite is quite fun! You can click on the image below to see all the items that are included in the Santa’s Workshop Suite:

Santa's Workshop Suite, Stampin' Up! 2018 Holiday Catalog, 11017The star of this suite is the Signs of Santa Bundle – a collection of retro characters that still feel so very modern. This set is everything that a child’s Christmas is made of. If you’ve made it to Santa’s list, then you deserve to add this bundle to your wish list:Signs of Santa Bundle, Stampin' Up!, 149967Here’s a sweet-and-simple card I shared that features this fun bundle (you can click on the picture below if you’d like to see my original post):

Signs of Santa, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, CTS284I colored these guys with Stampin’ Blends – cute, huh? There are some really great accessories in this bundle that coordinate so well – I didn’t have those at that time I made this card. Take a look:

BEAUTIFUL BLIZZARD BUNDLE

I love snowflakes – even though I don’t often get to see them in Georgia. The Beautiful Blizzard Bundle gives us modern-and-fun sentiments and a watercolor splotch that are awesome for a fun snowflake card. The coordinating Blizzard Thinlits Dies (a full sheet of snowflakes) are just amazing! Here’s a look at this Beautiful Blizzard Bundle:

Beautiful Blizzard Bundle, Stampin' Up! 149921I used the watercolor splotch for a decidedly non-Christmas card earlier this month. Here’s a look (you can click on the image to see my original post:

The images in the set are quite wonderful, but the snowflake dies are the winner! Here’s a Stampin’ Up! video to walk you through some different ways you can use this fun bundle:

FESTIVE FARMHOUSE DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

There are lots of great Designer Series papers in Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Holiday Catalog – and I love them all! There are more Specialty Papers than usual, and I love that, too! Of all the papers, though, I see myself reaching for the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series paper more than others. I love the mix of plaids and rustic elements – and I’ll be using them LOTS this season. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper:

Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up! 147820I love that the pages contain both Whisper White and Very Vanilla patterns – and I love the versatility of the images for clean or vintage projects. I love this pack of papers – but I really like them all. If you’d like to take a closer look at all of the Designer Series Papers in this catalog, here’s a video from Stampin’ Up! to guide you through them all:

WARM HEARTED HOST SET

I’ve said it over and over in my “Favorite Things” posts, but I love a set with great sentiments. The Warm Hearted Host set is one of those sets – I can’t wait to ink this up now that I’ve had a chance to earn it. Here’s a look at Warm Hearted:

Warm Hearted Host Set, Stampin' Up!, 147777With purchases greater than $150, customers earn Stampin’ Rewards that can be used to purchase ANY current items in the current catalogs.  For example, a $150 order earns a customer $15 of free merchandise (10%). One of the perks of earning Stampin’ Rewards is that you can use the merchandise credits to purchase specially-priced Host Sets (like Warm Hearted). The set is valued at $10 of Stampin’ Rewards, so you still have money left for the other things you want/need.

So, those are my favorite things. Of course I love more than these items, but I had to limit my list for you. I hope you’ve enjoyed my summaries, and I hope I’ve confirmed your wish list – or helped you find something else you can’t live without.  🙂

Thanks for stopping by today!

  1. Good morning, Brian. I see we have lots of favorites in common! I just ordered the Merry Christmas to All Bundle!

  2. The Dashing Deer Bundle is beautiful. Have a great weekend Brian!

  3. You and I are definitely in agreement on favorite bundles Brian. I can’t wait until next Friday when my order is supposed to be delivered to see these bundles up close and personal. The short videos from SU home office are always very helpful and inspiring. Combine that with your blog and bingo – instant, wonderful, beautiful inspiration! Thanks for all you do.

  4. My favorites to a TEE! Love how you shared these!

  5. The “cloud” with the lighthouse – from the Beautiful Blizzard – how fun is that? Love seeing the reparade of favorites as I just adore your deer or reindeer card – the colors especially. I do have that bundle. The Signs of Santa is cute but not needed on my part except that I am going to get the M&M cards and use the shares of the DSP to make a bunch of cards for the kids in the hospital thing I do. I love the Merry Christmas to All bundle and I need to get this bundle soon. It is always so fun to see what others like/want and then all the creations!
