I’m unable to stop showcasing this gorgeous panel of watercolored sky from Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper. I try to tuck it away in the back of my paper stash, but it finds its way back to the front. Dare I say this might be my all-time favorite piece of Designer Series Paper. It’s so gorgeous and so versatile! I used a small panel of it on today’s sweet and simple Christmas card. Here’s my card:
- Winter Woods. Just when you thought you had all the beautiful forest sets you need – Lovely as a Tree and Rooted in Nature gave you everything you needed – along comes Winter Woods to tap on your shoulder and say, “Nope! You need me, too.” Just like all the others, this bundle is unique (except for the fact that it’s gorgeous and oh-so-woodsy). Here’s a look at the Winter Woods stamp set:I stamped the elegant tree from the Winter Wood stamp set with Shaded Spruce ink on Thick Whisper White cardstock and cropped it with the coordinating In the Woods Framelits Die. So simple! There’s amazing texture in this tree:How gorgeous is that?! I did nothing extra to this – just stamped it and cropped it out.
- Season of Joy. Do you recognize the sentiment I stamped below the long panel of Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper? This stamp gave me just what I wanted for the front of this card. Here’s a closer look:The sentiment is from Night in Bethlehem. I had to do a little masking of the sentiment (I added tape over the rest of the sentiment, inked up the stamp, removed the tape and stamped down). Here’s a look at the Night in Bethlehem stamp set:
- Color Combination. Don’t you love this panel of Night of Navy sky from Twinkle Twinkle? It’s perfect for all times of the year, but it’s particularly perfect for Christmas. Here’s a look at the other colors and patterns in this pack of paper:Shaded Spruce was an obvious choice to pair this tree with this sky. I added Crumb Cake to tone down the richness of these regal shades. I couldn’t love this combination more. If you also love the combination of Crumb Cake, Shaded Spruce and Night of Navy, please save this:
Bundles: Winter Woods Stamp Sets: Winter Woods, Night in Bethlehem Papers: Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Thick Whisper White Inks: Shaded Spruce, Basic Black Accessories: In the Woods Framelits Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I hope you like my sweet card – and I hope you’ll take another look at this amazing, new bundle!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Brian

Boy oh boy! Another high impact design. Especially love the color combo. “CASEing all the way” (…I bet you can guess the tune!)
So glad I bought the Twinkle Twinkle DSP; I’ve used it for everything under the sun except the baby cards I originally had in mind! Thanks for another great card.
Thanks so much, Linda! I really love this tree – so beautiful and easy to make. So glad you like the design of my card. I feel the same about this paper. <3
Another beautiful card! I love the “inside, looking out” feel this has. Looking into the magic of the night sky. Thank you for the inspiration your creations are.
Thanks so much, Sally! I didn’t originally intend for the panel be mimic a window, but the more I worked with it, the more it felt like I was looking out at the night sky. So happy you like it. <3
Love your mattes Brian. They take “clean and simple” up a notch. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks so much, Dawn! I often times can’t help myself but to add another matte. <3
Stunning. First, I love the color combination which is a bit unique and special for the holidays. Then, all those luscious layers with the pop of white. It just says fresh and almost modern with an updated twist of color. Did that make sense? I love red and green for the holidays but this just really says cool Yule to me. Love the masked sentiment, just says it all. I don’t have either of the sets but I think I need to take another long and hard look at these sets. Ummm, I have a half sheet of this DSP. So pretty, unique, and special! I love it.
Thanks so much, Chris! I’m a big fan of non-traditional colors for Christmas. This combo makes me happy, too. <3
The Twinkle DSP sky pattern is gorgeous and I love how it’s the backdrop of your simple winter holiday card1
Thanks, my friend! <3
The tree looks so good against your background! Sweet card!
Thanks so much, Windy! So simple, but I couldn’t be happier. <3
Love this simple, but elegant card, Brian. The starry sky paper is perfect and great use of a small strip. You are the best at finding unique ways of using one stamp set and making it into something different, i.e., the sentiment. Enjoy a great day!
Thanks so much, Hilda! I’ve really enjoyed this print of paper – so glad you like how I’ve used it here. <3
Just a gorgeous card as always Brian! I have all 3 of the tree sets and love using them together. I believe the Lovely As A Tree was one of the first stamp sets I ever bought from SU and I’ve been stamping since 2001. The amazing thing about these 3 sets is they can be used for every single occasion, even Valentine’s Day and Easter. That DSP is fabulous. Thanks for sharing and I have my fingers crossed that the hurricane misses Atlanta.
I really love the tree sets, too, Grace! Used one last night to make the card I’m sharing today. They are great for all occasions. So happy to share, my friend. Grateful we only got solid rain here – these hurricanes are crazy.
Another stunning card! As always, I love your color choices.
Thanks, Dianne! These colors are so warm and rich. <3
I love that paper too! Pretty card!
Thanks, Linda! <3
This is one of my favorite bundles this year! I’m really glad I saw your project today. I love this color for these trees. TFS!
Thanks so much, Gloria!
I love your card and Winter Woods for me it is a must bundle.
Thanks so much, Margaret Ann! I’ve really grown to love this bundle. Glad you like my card. <3
Great use of neutrals, so pretty. Great job Brian
Thanks, my friend! <3
