Covering Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Occasions Catalog

Over the past several weeks, I’ve shared several projects that feature new products – I love creating new projects with brand new product and sharing those sneak peeks with you. The time before a new catalog is so exciting! I’m also thrilled to share the 2019 Occasions Catalog and 2019 Sale-a-Bration Brochure with my customers – I started mailing these books to my customers this week, and I can imagine their joy as they flip through the pages. While I can’t yet post the entire publications online, I can show you the front cover of the books. What fun! Let’s take a look!

Here are the front covers of Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Occasions Catalog and 2019 Sale-a-Bration Brochure (both books are live on January 3, 2019):

Stampin' Up!'s 2019 Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration BrochureToday I’m going to focus on some of the incredible products used to create projects on the front cover of the Occasions Catalog. Here’s a closer look: Stampin' Up!'s 2019 Occasions Catalog coverI love the overall layout of this catalog cover – the projects are so fresh and sweet! Perfect for Spring, don’t you think? The projects featured on the cover showcase many of the new products. I love the mix of soft, sweet colors on this cover – a soft mix of coral, pink, blue, green and yellow. The projects scream “Spring celebration!” to me and make me excited to make some fun birthday cards.

I want to zoom in a bit and chat with you about the three focal images on this cover. You can look at the beautiful cover all day, but don’t you want to know what products are being showcased there?

Needle & Thread Bundle

The thank you card that graces the top of 2019 Occasions Catalog cover features a beautiful color combination with the Needle & Thread Bundle and the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies. Here’s a closer look at this gorgeous card:

Needle & Thread Bundle, Rectangles Stitched Framelits Dies, Stampin' Up!The soft collage of stitched flowers are stamped with the Needles & Thread stamp set and cropped with the coordinating Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies (together sold at a 10% discount in the Needles & Thread Bundle. The sentiment on Night of Navy (also stamped from the Needles & Thread stamp set) pops against the soft backdrop. Here’s a look at this bundle:

Needle & Thread Bundle, Stampin' Up! 150626The flowers and sentiment are accented by a pink, stitched frame. When the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies cut into cardstock, they leave a stitched line on either side of the cut. The frame on this card is cropped with two rectangles (one on the outside and one on the inside). The outer-most stitched lines on the frame are from the inside of the larger rectangle. The inner-most stitched lines are from the outside of the smaller rectangle. I LOVE that element of these dies. Here’s a closer look at the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies:

Bloom by Bloom

Move right on the cover from the Needle & Thread card, and you arrive at a gorgeous tag that features the Bloom by Bloom stamp set, Gingham Gala 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper and a sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set. Here’s a closer look at this tag:

Bloom by Bloom, Itty Bitty Birthdays, Stampin' Up!How sweet are these Nordic-styled flowers? I love the images in this set – perfect for creating a fun background on a card or for featuring as a focal image (like they are showcased on this tag). Here’s a look at the bold images in the Bloom by Bloom stamp set:

Butterfly Gala Bundle

The Balmy Blue card that graces the bottom of the 2019 Occasions Catalog is created with a beautiful mix of the Butterfly Gala Bundle and the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Just look at how gorgeous this card is:

Butterfly Gala, Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Stampin' Up!The Butterfly Gala Bundle is certainly going to be very popular when this catalog launches in January. Both the sentiment and butterflies are from this bundle, which includes the Butterfly Duet Punch with (as the name forecasts) two butterflies. Here’s a look at the Butterfly Gala Bundle:

The detail from this embossing folder is gorgeous – the creator of this card then added white ink to accent the impressions. 5. So many exciting things in those new catties! I hope you are warding off your drizzly weather in the Fungeon, LOL
Also, I forgot to post about yesterday’s card. I believe you are the only person who has made gingham look masculine, thank you for that! That bold stripe really gave it that push, I think. Great idea!

    • Thanks so much, Cindie! I love the gingham patterns – it’s tricky to be masculine with these soft tones, but I love them anyway. So glad you like my project. <3 I'm excited about this catalog and happy to roll up my sleeves to start creating. 🙂
