My Missing Piece

Love is a crazy-wonderful thing. It’s difficult to think of how you’d ever live without the people you love the most. How different would life have been without them? It might sound corny, but finding “that missing piece” transforms life forever. With that in mind, I created this sweet, simple Valentine’s Day card:

Love You To Pieces Bundle, Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, Valentine's Day card

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Love You to Pieces & Be Mine. The only stamp on this card is “You are my missing piece” that’s designed in the shape of a heart and stamped on Flirty Flamingo cardstock that I then cropped with the heart puzzle from the coordinating Puzzle Pieces Thinlits Dies. Here’s a look at this wonderful bundle from the Annual Catalog:Love You to Pieces, Stampin' Up! 148396Here’s a closer look at the stamped and cropped sentiment that’s the focal point of this Valentine’s Day card:Love You To Pieces Bundle, Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, Valentine's Day cardOn either side of the heart, there’s a band of cutout hearts from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits, which you need if you don’t already have them. • LOVE-ly Color Inspiration. Valentine’s Day is full of reds and pinks. I pulled the colors for this card right from the All My Love Designer Series Paper. Tfs hugs
    Frenchie ♥️♥️♥️♥️

  4. The different hearts coordinate so well together. Such a sweet and heart-felt card! <3

  5. “Love You to Pieces” is one of my favorite stamp and die sets and I love how you’ve used it here. And the white mat and hearts keep the card from being an overly “pink” Valentine and set it up as heartfelt and sophisticated. I learn so much from your design aesthetic. Thanks for the inspiring education.

    • Thanks so much for your kind comments, Linda! I’m so happy to share. You are right about the pops of white – they were intentionally there to break up all the pink. 🙂 Thanks! ♥

  6. The band of cut out hearts is probably my most favorite die EVER! Love the way you added it to this darling card.

  7. Brian, what a great idea, it’s a FUN-LOVING Card! ❤️ it.

  8. Such an extra sweet card! Love the white band of hearts – the perfect way to accent this card. Just “LOVEly”!

  9. Brian, this is indeed a sweet and romantic card, love that little puzzle heart, you can even put the pieces on a little envelope and let the recipient put it together, how cute is that!!
Love your color combination and your layering, especially love the white card stock peeking only from the left and right sides, so clever and different, I must remember that ?
    Thank you for sharing.
    XO

  10. Perfect layout and love the hearts behind the sentiment!
