I recently packaged and shipped Spring-themed product shares to some amazing customers. I had a little time on my hands before the products arrived, so I made a sweet, little thank you card to go with each of the participants who requested all three shares (paper, ribbon AND embellishments). Here’s a look at the card I made:

All That You Are, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingAnd here’s the inside of the card: All That You Are, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingTips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Stamp and Punch. The gorgeous image on the front of this card is this large arrangement of flowers from the All That You Are stamp set. Such a sweet image! Here’s a look at the All That You Are stamp set:All That You Are, Stampin' Up!, 148664The sentiments on the outside and inside of the card are also from the All That You Are stamp set. I stamped “Flowers Bloom All for You” on Calypso Coral cardstock and punched it out with the Tailored Tag Punch: Tailored Tag Punch, Stampin' Up!, 145667Thrifty note: I had some Calypso Coral scraps, so I was able to stamp and punch the sentiments quickly and easily. If you really wanted to save some paper, though, you could stamp the sentiment on the Calypso Coral base (before gluing it down) since it will be covered by the Petal Pink panel.
  • Dimensions. These cards were relatively easy to make in multiples. For starters, the base of each was already cut and scored for me. I broke into a pack of Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes for these bases of these cards. With each $6.50 pack of Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes. you get 20 Whisper White note cards and 20 Whisper White envelopes. All That You Are, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingHere are the measurements of the layers I used on this card:
    • Whisper White Note Card -7″ x 5-1/2″ (scored at 3-1/2″)
    • Calypso Coral – 3-1/4″ x 4-3/4″
    • Petal Pink – 3-1/8″ x 4-5/8″
    • Calypso Coral -punched with the Tailored Tag punch
  • Tone-on-Tone. When you stamp a color of ink on the same color of paper, you can achieve a wonderful tone-on-tone look that’s soft and sweet. The flowers on this card seem to just blend into the background, while the sentiment really pops. 1. Brian, I love this this stamp set. It is perfect for making Card sets as gifts.
Using the outline only vs coloring gives a great option to make several cards in a short amount of time. Excellent color combo!

    • Thanks so much, Katrina! I’ve used this set several times and have never thought of it as a “color this in” stamp set – you’re right though. It would be beautiful colored in, but it’s stunning just stamped. Glad you like it! ♥

  2. Love that fresh blend of oranges and how you used two sentiments (inside and out).

  3. We are away for the weekend but I want to go right home and make something with that color combination! Love it!

  4. Such pretty but easy cards, I have to re explore that stamp set!

  5. This is a beautiful card and easy to mass produce. Love the color combo and it has been saved. Enjoy your day!

  6. You’re little tip about being frugal with paper will stick in my mind. I have no idea why I never thought of that! DUH! Love this card Brian and it’s so nice that you take the time to thank everyone for their purchase of your shares. You are a sweetie!

    • I always think of it AS I AM gluing everything down. If I were making LOTS of this card, I would likely have punched from that panel. Glad you like it, Grace! ♥

  7. This card is PERFECT Brian. I can image it in all kinds of Spring colors. Thanks for sharing.

  8. Love this card! It is simple but elegant. The colors are beautiful together. I just returned from an 80 day cruise and need to ease back into my classes. This card will be a perfect minimum effort card to get me back in the rhythm of things. Thank you for sharing! 🙂

  9. Have not tried this combo before . I really like C. Coral ,but seldom use it . In fact I just punched out some Tailored Tags last week to go with my new satin C. Coral ribbon (PRETTY). I will be trying the Petal pink since it looks so pretty on your card . Great idea on the outline only !
I am sure the customers will love it !!

    • Thanks, Sonny! It’s not a color I would have thought of – except that I saw how beautifully Petal Pink paired with Flirty Flamingo in one of the DSPs in the Occasions Catalog. Gave me inspiration to play around a bit. 🙂 Thanks!

  10. What a fresh card this morning Brian! The calypso coral background layer matching your ink is an idea I’m going to remember. It’s so simple and keeps the card balanced and clean. Thanks for the good color combination idea too!

    • Thanks so much, Sharon! I’m so glad you like the colors – tone-on-tone stamping comes in handy quite a bit. Thanks for your kind comments! ♥

  11. I loved this card and I love your shares. They are just the best. Thank you for doing them!

  12. Love this idea. I need to keep this in mind for clean and simple but oh so “WOW” looking. Thanks Brian, this is giving me some ideas on using different colors together though this is one I will try for sure!

  13. Kathy Van Helsland

What a lovely card. I always like tone on tone stamping. It makes a quiet statement.

    • Thanks so much, Kathy! I played around with stamping it in the bolder Calypso Coral, but I liked the softness of this, too. Glad you like it! ♥

  14. That floral image is a perfect background and love the little cards!

  15. Another beautiful card as usual. I will have to look at this stamp set again. It has been on my list but since we can’t have everything……..lol. Clean and simple using just paper, stamps and ink. Way to Go!!!!
