Now that the Holidays have passed (hope yours were as wonderful as mine), I’m excited to play with new color palettes. Today’s card features gorgeous pinks and some sneak peeks at some fabulous, new products in Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2020 Mini Catalog. Such fun! Here’s my card:
Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- Poppies on Parade. If you think you are going to be able to avoid poppies in Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2020 Mini Catalog, then you are sadly mistaken. Just a quick glance at the cover of the incredible catalog tells you how important these bright flowers are to the overall feel of the catalog. Here’s a look at the cover of the catalog:Did you see them? Were you able to find the poppies that are hidden on the front of the catalog? 🙂 Gorgeous, right?! Poppies are so pervasive to the catalog that Stampin’ Up! added TWO bundles (stamp sets and dies) – and both are must-have bundles. The sentiment I used on today’s card (“These are the moments we’ll look back on with joy”) is such a beauty! I love the fonts and sentiments in the Peaceful Moments stamp set. Here’s a look at the Peaceful Moments Bundle, which includes the Peaceful Moments stamp set and coordinating Poppy Moments Dies:
- Best Dressed. You’d think I would showcase the gorgeous papers in the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper since I’m showcased the beautiful stamp set. My mind doesn’t always work that way, though. As such, I found two gorgeous patterns in the Best Dressed 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Papers and built my card from there. Here’s a look at the patterns and colors in the Best Dressed 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Papers:One side of these pages features flowers or “girly” things (like perfumes, purses, lipsticks and shoes). The flip side showcases universal patterns that can be used for any project. The sentiment on the card is adorned with a strand of Petal Pink 1/4″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon from the Parisian Blossoms Suite in the new catalog:
- Color Combination. I pulled the colors for my project right from the floral pages of the Best Dressed 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. I love this mix of pinks – Petal Pink is proving to play well with all other pinks and reds. The pops of Old Olive are a cheery addition. If you like this mix of Petal Pink, Lovely Lipstick and Old Olive, please save this for future reference:
Stamp Sets: Peaceful Moments Papers: Best Dressed 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, Petal Pink Lovely Lipstick, Whisper White Inks: Lovely Lipstick Accessories: Petal Pink 1/4″ Metallic-Edged Ribbon, 2″ Circle punch, Layering Circles Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today!

Thanks, Cindie! These are fun to play with. One of the main reasons I make swatch books – to share the papers in a better way with demos and customers. ♥
