With all of the excitement over the release of Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2020 Mini Catalog and the launch of Sale-a-Bration yesterday, I wasn’t able to finish my project for the FabFriday challenge that kicked off yesterday. If you would like to read all about the new catalogs (and download them now), CLICK HERE. Three sweet colors are featured in this FabFriday color challenge – such fun to play with this color palette! Here’s my card:
- In the Tropics. Before I knew what kind of card I’d make with these colors, I knew I’d be creating a wall of flowers, so I started cutting with the trio of flowers found in the In the Tropics Dies, part of the Timeless Tropical Bundle. While the entire bundle is decidedly themed around the tropics, the flowers are just as beautiful in this beautiful mix of pinks and purples. Here’s a look at the Timeless Tropical Bundle: I used the same flower (and cropped it in Poppy Parade) for another project I made with the papers and dies in this set. Here’s a look at that project (you can click on the picture below to see the original post for this project):
- Seriously the Best. I love a beautiful sentiment, and I adore a big, bold font. The fonts in the Seriously the Best stamp set are right up my alley. I love them! I couldn’t wait to ink up one of these sentiments to use on a project. Here’s how the “thanks” from Seriously the Best played on my card:Here’s a look at the other sentiments in this must-have stamp set:The set is perfectly wonderful on its own, but it also coordinates with a lovely project kit. Here’s a look at how this stamp set plays with the Seriously the Best Project Kit:How adorable are those samples?!
- Poke, Press, Pearl, Pull. I systematically cropped the flowers on this card and carefully placed them on the Whisper White card base. I started by poking out the tiny center of each flower, followed by pressing the center of the flower against a foam mat (I used the one that comes with my Stamparatus) with the rounded end of a paper-piercing tool. I added a little glue to the back and pressed it against the cardstock. I quickly added a pearl to the center, giving extra hold against the base, and the pulled the flower petals up a little before the glue dried. It’s as simple as that. Poke, Press, Pearl, Pull. Yay!
