Thanks with Pop of Petals

This week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge gave me a great reason to play with beautiful, Spring colors and a stamp set I’ve had for a while but have never (not even once) inked up. What fun to play with both. Here’s the card I made with Donna Mikasa’s fun sketch this week for the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge:

CTS363Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Pop of Petals. While the Pop of Petals stamp set and coordinating Four-Petal Punch debuted in 2018, I didn’t add either of them to my shopping card until January of this year. I can’t believe it took me so long – this was a fun set to play with. I stamped my flowers in Daffodil Delight on Whisper White cardstock and punched them with the coordinating punch. I stamped the leaf multiple times with Pear Pizzazz and snipped out each one. Here’s a look at the Pop of Petals stamp set: Pop of Petals, Stampin Up! 151328Did you notice the butterfly in the mix that also coordinates with the punch? ♥ Here’s a look at the Four-Petal Flower Punch:Four-Petal Flower Punch, Stampin Up! 147041
  • Nice-to-Have Dies. Because of today’s card, there’s little chance you are going to rush out to buy either of the die sets I used on the card, but the card serves as a great example of why you should just have everything on hand – you never know when might need something to complement your project. The sentiment is from the Well Written Dies. I love these dies! I flipped the image to give you a better view of what the words actually say: Well Written Dies, Stampin' Up! 148534I needed “a little something more” in the center of each of my flowers. I looked over everything I own and kept passing by the Detailed Deer Dies (certain I wouldn’t find what I need there). Alas! It was there!  I cropped three of the little flowers from the Detailed Deer Dies – with a little pearl, the flowers were perfect for the center of each Pop of Petals flower. • Color Combination. The band of Daffodil Delight stripes was pulled from the Best Dressed 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper – one of the not-fashion-themed pages from the pack. Such a great complement to the Flirty Flamingo base, don’t you think? Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Best Dressed 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper:  Best Dressed 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up! 151319If you like this combination of Spring colors – Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz and Flirty Flamingo – please save this for future reference: Stampin Up!
