When I was in elementary school, I attended a friend’s birthday party in an arcade. While we enjoyed pizza and cake, my eyes were on the prizes I could earn with the fun games. I honed in on Skee-Ball (the game where you roll a heavy ball up an inclined lane to try to get it into the bullseye hole). Oh, I was good! I was SOOOO good that I earned more tickets than anyone else at the party and could choose from almost any of the [worthless] gifts in offered. What fun!
With all of my tickets, I picked out a small plastic table tent with a t-rex at a desk with a computer in front of him. He was typing away at the keyboard with the words “computer-saurus” painted over top of him. I didn’t have a computer, but I knew my Mom worked in an office with a computer, so I selected the prize for her. At best, she pretended to like it and it was quickly whisked away to her office, never to be seen again.
With all that, here’s a fun card I made with a similarly fun sentiment:
Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- Dinoroar. Stampin’ Up! has released a new lineup of Sale-a-Bration options from the 2019 Annual Catalog that you can select for free when you place a $50 or $100 order. If you’d like to see all of those options, CLICK HERE. One of those new options is the Dinoroar Designer Series Paper. What fun! Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this fun pack of Designer Series Papers:
The product codes for the new Sale-a-Bration items are different from the codes in the 2019 Annual Catalog. The Sale-a-Bration code for Dinoroar Designer Series Paper is 155882. My sentiment is from the Dino Days Bundle, which includes the Dino Days photopolymer stamp set and coordinating Dino Dies. Here’s a look:
GOOD NEWS! When you buy the Dino Days Bundle between now and March 31, you’ve earned enough to select the Dinoroar Designer Series Paper for free. How cool is that?! - Friend-a-Saurus. This sentiment is such fun, but I’m particularly happy with how it’s accented here. I stamped the sentiment in Lovely Lipstick on Whisper White cardstock and cropped it with a 2″ Circle Punch. With my Starburst punch, I punched a piece of Lovely Lipstick for a spikey, dinosaurey frame for the sentiment.
I also added this little heart from the Stitched Be Mine Dies and popped it up with a sliver of a Stampin’ Dimensional. Fun way to fill the space. - Color Combination. While you might think of dinosaurs as dark brown and dark green, these pink and blue dinos are absolutely adorable. Don’t you think?! If you like this combination of Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo and Lovely Lipstick as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:

Stamp Sets: Dino Days Papers: Dinoroar Designer Series Paper, Lovely Lipstick, Thick Whisper White, Whisper White Inks: Lovely Lipstick Accessories: Stitched Be Mine Dies, 2″ Circle Punch, Starburst Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I hope you and your family are staying safe!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Those patterns are such a dino-delightful mix. So sorry about your t-rex experience. I can’t recall life before computers were prevalent!
We didn’t have a computer in our house until I was in high school. Even then, it was a “dinosaur” – ha ha ha.
This is a cute card for just about anybody( except maybe your plumber ! ) Love the colors and yes, I have this paper and was surprised to find two pretty leaf (non dino type pattern) sheets in the selection.
I think I might have to CASE this one !
Ha! Sonny, you “crack” me up! (see what I did there?) 🙂 Your comments always make me smile. ♥
Such a happy mix of pattern and color! Who knew skeeball was one of your many talents? 🙂
My Mom was the state champion in horseshoes and table tennis when she was in school. Perhaps I got my consistency from her? 🙂
Your story about being the Skee Ball champ made my day!
I’m so glad, Paula! You just have to find the right spot on the lane and then stay consistent. 🙂
LOVE your childhood recap……I’m sure your MOM adored that gift. Your card is another work-of-art my friend.
🙂 Thank you so much, Kadie! This was a fun card to make – I hadn’t paid attention to this sentiment before now.
Fun card..great layering of designer paper!
🙂 Thanks, Windy! ♥
I would so challenge you to Skeeball. Eye on the prize was my go too for any challenge (school or arcade). I LOVE this happy card and will be CASEing it for my grand-daughter.
Yay! So glad you like it, Ann! I wouldn’t guess I’m so good at Skee-ball anymore, but I’m sure we’d have a fun time playing. Your granddaughter will love this card! ♥
Thanks for a terrific story. How cute! And your mix of DSP patterns is pretty terrific too.
🙂 Thanks, Susan! I was happy they included so much pink and red in this paper. Such a fun pack! ♥
