You’ve Been on My Mind with Many Layered Blossoms Dies

Since the Blossoms in Bloom Bundle premiered in Stampin’ Up!’s 2020 Annual Catalog last month, I’ve been admiring lots of projects with the stamp set and coordinating dies. Today is the first day, though, that I’ve put the dies to the test – and I LOVE THEM! Here’s a simple, layered card for this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge:

  • Blossoms in Bloom. Not only is the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set a gorgeous set with some amazing sentiments (don’t forget to check out the sentiments in your sets!), but the dies that coordinate with the stamp set are AMAZING! The flowers layer beautifully over each other – incredible! Here’s a look at the Blossoms in Bloom Bundle:Blossoms in Bloom Bundle, Stampin Up! 154123While the stamped image of flowers can be layered with the two diecuts, I only used the diecuts on the card I created today. I cut one layer with Purple Posy and one layers with Thick Whisper White.
  • A Diagonal Sentiment. The sentiment banner on my card isn’t quite as deep as the sketch for this week’s sketch challenge, but the diagonal is still there! I pulled this sweet sentiment from Butterfly Gala for my card. This sentiment has been well-used over the last couple of months. Here’s a closer look:Many Layered Blossoms Dies, Stampin Up!, Brian KingI love a good diagonal banner on a card front. ♥ Several years ago, I created this graphic to show how I cut a diagonal banner where both ends are at the same angle:Tips for cutting even banner diagonals, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingTo see my post that features TEN diagonal designs, CLICK HERE.
  • Sweet Color Combination. When I first set out to make this card, I planned on an all-purple and white card. Once the layers were glued down, though, and before I affixed the sentiment, I realized I needed another tone. The band of So Saffron gave me exactly what I wanted. If you like this mix of So Saffron, Purple Posy and Highland Heather as much as I do, I hope you will save this for future reference:Stampin' Up! I hope you’ll pop over to the CAS(E) This Sketch site to see the cards by the design team members and to play along with this week’s challenge.

  1. Beautiful! But….how did you adhere the intricate die? That has been my struggle. Usually ends up looking pretty messy.

    • I used Tombow Multipurpose Glue to add small dots of glue to the back of the white piece. After I got it down, I strategically added glue to other areas to get it down. Thanks!

  2. So beautiful!!
