Welcome to Part 2 of my closer look at the front cover of Stampin’ Up!’s August – December 2020 Mini Catalog. We looked at the left side of the cover yesterday (you can see that post here). Today I’m going to share the supplies used to create the projects on the right side of the catalog cover. Have you ever heard of anything more fun that that?!
Stampin’ Up! demonstrators have been flipping through the GORGEOUS pages of Stampin’ Up!’s August – December 2020 Mini Catalog for the past three weeks, and I’ve mailed copies of this amazing book to my customers. While I can’t yet show you the inside of this amazing book online, I can show you the cover and the projects shared there. What fun!
Here is the front cover of Stampin’ Up!’s August – December 2020 Mini Annual Catalog:
As you can see, the front cover of the new Mini Catalog is styled like the January – June 2020 Mini Catalog – a parade of projects that spread out over a beautiful landscape. The book is also bound in landscape (vs. portrait) fashion. There are so many Christmas-themed projects on the front cover from a variety of bundles and suite – such a great showcase! It can be overwhelming to try to take it all in at once, so I’m going to break it down for you a bit.
A Closer Look
I want to zoom in a bit and chat with you about the images on the right side of this cover. You can look at the beautiful cover all day, but don’t you want to know what products are being showcased there? Today I’m going to walk through the products used to create the first five projects on this cover. How fun is that?!
- This Shaded Spruce and Just Jade snowflake card features dies and stamps from the Snowflake Wishes Bundle (#155172, p. 38). The So Many Snowflakes Dies (#153560, p. 38) give us so many of the beautiful snowflakes we see on this cover.
- The sentiment on this card is from the Wrapped in Christmas Cling Stamp Set (#153481, p. 9). There are so many great sentiments in this set – it’s certain to be a favorite! ♥
- The Stampin’ Up! designer who created this card bbuil the backdrop with a die from the So Many Snowflakes Dies (#153560, p. 38) that’s shaped like a Stitched Nested Labels Die with snowflakes built in. The artist ran the die through the die cutting machine eight times to build this peek-through front.
- The card also features White Embossing Paste (#141979) and the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks (#150697) to create a polka dot pattern and a watercolor background painted with Water Painters.
Project 7
- Who doesn’t love jingle bells?! The Cherish the Season Bundle (#155154, p. 33) gives us bells-a-plenty on this gorgeous card. The bundle includes the Cherish the Season Cling Stamp Set (#153417, p. 33) and the coordinating Sounds of the Season Dies (#154043, p. 33). The beautiful sentiment on this card is also pulled from the Cherish the Season stamp set.
- The pine branches that peak out from behind the bells are pulled from the Sounds of the Season Dies (#154043, p. 33).
- A page from the ‘Tis the Season 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (#153489, p. 31) provides a bold backdrop for these sweet bells.
- The large tag at the center of this card is pulled from the North Pole Wonder Dies (#153523, p. 32). Such a great idea to just crop off one end of the tag!
- The Wishes & Wonder Bundle (#155151, p. 32) takes center stage on this Garden Green beauty. With a backdrop of gorgeous paper from the ‘Tis the Season 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (#153489, p. 31), these reindeer and sleigh are beautiful!
- The card features two amazing, new accents from the new catalog: the argyle satin ribbon is from the Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo Pack (#153537, p. 31) and the faceted gems with gold glitter flecks are from the Wonderful Gems (#153536, p. 31).
- A vellum cardstock panel sits behind the ribbon – you know how much I love that, right?!
Project 9
- This box is wrapped with the Wonder of the Season Specialty Designer Series Paper (#153488, p. 31), a pack of papers with black print on one side and a mix of gold foil or red foil on the other.
- The tag is created with a stamp and a die from the Wishes & Wonder Bundle (#155151, p. 32). The sentiment on the tag is gorgeous, and the tag is shortened by cropping the die a second time at a different level. The tag is backed and accented with Red & Green Foil Sheets (#153510, p. 22).
- The bell on the tag is cropped from Red & Green Foil Sheets (#153510, p. 22) with the Sounds of the Season Dies (#154043, p. 33).
- The package is tied with Mossy Meadow 3/8″ Diagonal Stripe Ribbon (#153542, p. 9).
