You know how much I love great sentiments, right? As soon as I saw “Surround yourself in the love of the season” from the Wrapped in Christmas stamp set, I was in love. What better way to showcase the sentiment than a background panel of people celebrating the joys of a winter day?! Here’s my card with these fun, new products that follows the sketch for the FabFriday challenge that went live on Friday:
And here’s the banner for the challenge that inspired my card:
Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper. The two panels of paper that build the base of this sentiment are pulled from the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper. Such fun colors and patterns in this pack of papers! Here’s a look:
One side of each page showcases a wintery scene – homes, trees, wreath and people. The other side showcases patterns that pair perfectly with these pages – and many can be used throughout the year. If you’d like to tab through all of the pages in this pack of papers, click on the photo below:
- Surround Yourself. While the page of people enjoying winter and the panel of Poppy Parade with white squiggles builds the backdrop for this card, the sentiment is the cherry on this sundae. I love it! I embossed the sentiment with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and blasted it with my Heat Tool before cropping it with the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch. Here’s a closer look:
The sentiment is from Wrapped in Christmas Cling stamp set, a collection of really great sentiments I’ll be featuring a lot this season. Just check out all of these amazing fonts and sayings:
Wrapped in Christmas is part of the Heartwarming Mugs Suite and are a great addition to the coffee cups and coffee cup wraps. Such fun! If you’d like to review all of the products in the Heartwarming Hugs Suite of products, click on the image below:
- Bright-and-Cheery Christmas. The colors for my card are pulled from the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper. I love that the paper features Poppy Parade for a really bright red. It’s so happy! I accented my card with Misty Moonlight, also featured in the pack of papers. Left alone, Poppy Parade and Misty Moonlight look really patriotic. There’s enough Old Olive in this panel of paper, though, to temper the patriotism and pull it back to Christmas. ♥ If you like this mix of Poppy Parade, Old Olive and Misty Moonlight, please save this for future reference:

Stamp Sets: Wrapped in Christmas Papers: Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper, Poppy Parade, Misty Moonlight Inks: Whisper White Craft Ink Accessories: White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, Heat Tool, 1-1/2″ Circle Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I hope you’ll pop over to the FabFriday challenge blog to see the cards by the design team members and to play along with this week’s challenge.

Wow! I had skipped right over this wonderful paper because I am not interested in making town scenes this year. Now that you have my attention focused on that pretty paper on your card, it is going on my “need” list. Yes, you are an enabler, but a very fun one! Have a great week.
I never even saw this paper! Beautiful card.
