I don’t make a lot of 3D projects, but when Stampin’ Up!’ gives us a set of dies that make treat-giving easy, I just have to try them! I broke in my Little Treats Bundles this past week and am excited to share my two projects with you. The duo of treat boxes shows just how versatile the dies are – I made an all-purpose treat box (I thought of it as perfect for a birthday) and a Halloween-themed treat box. What fun! Here they are:
Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- Tiny Treats Bundle. With the Little Treats Boxes Dies (part of the Tiny Treats Bundle) and just one 6″ square of Designer Series Paper or cardstock, you can quickly crop one piece that folds into the super-cute Tiny Treats box. These things are EASY to make and ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE! To show how versatile they are, I made two treat boxes – one that would be perfect for a birthday party and one for a Halloween gift. Such fun! Here’s a look at the Tiny Treats Bundle: The box is small – perfect for a couple of chocolates or a small gift. They are so adorable, though, that people won’t miss the fact that there’s not a full candy bar inside. ♥
- Treat Box Bases. I used two Designer Series Papers to build my Little Treat Boxes – I couldn’t be happier with how these papers looked on the treat boxes and with how sturdy the boxes were with just Designer Series Paper. With just a little Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive Glue or some Tear and Tape, these boxes came together quickly. Here are the colors and patterns in the Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper I used for the birthday-themed treat box: And here are the colors and patterns in the Magic in this Night Designer Series Paper I used for the Halloween-themed treat box: I tied my birthday-themed treat box with Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Ruched Ribbon (#151311) and tied my Halloween-themed treat box with Black 3/8″ Glittered Organdy Ribbon (#147897).
- Decorating the Treat Boxes. The sentiments and simple cutouts on the front of each box really helped to define each box. With the addition of a circle from the Layering Circles Dies, I was able to build both of these with stamps and dies from the Tiny Treats Bundle. Here’s a closer look at each one: How cute are they?! So easy to dress up these boxes with simple elements that give the box a unique look. These were really fun to make!

These look so fun…looking forward to playing with these treat boxes.
They are so adorable, Windy! You’re going to love them. ♥
Glittered Ribbon? Honestly Brian between the glitter paper and now the ribbon I am excited that you are “going with the glitz”! Next will we see actual glitter on one of your cards? I award your bravery. LOL All that kidding aside, these treat boxes really are something special. I enjoy doing 3D projects but some of them get a bit difficult. These are obviously easy peasy which is fantastic. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your day.
Oh, Grace! You know me. You know you will never see GLITTER on my projects. 🙂 This ribbon is shiny and flaky and fun – but there’s no mess at all. ♥ These dies are really easy to use – definitely a quick put-em-together project.
Love your little treat boxes, Brian!
Thanks, Debbie! ♥
Cute little treat holders. Got an “order” from youngest granddaughter for her 8th grade friends. Tic-tacs fit perfectly.
I love to know that Tic-Tacs trivia. Have fun making these, Sally! ♥
