Although I live in a landlocked city right now, I was raised by the ocean. The beach was a short drive from where I grew up, and it wasn’t summer without time at the beach. While I’m a city boy now and dream of living in the mountains, I will always remember how much I loved living by the ocean. Here’s a card that shares my love of the water:
My card was inspired by the FabFriday sketch that goes live today. Here’s the banner for the challenge that inspired my card:
- Whale Done. I couldn’t love the Whale Done Bundle more than I do. For starters, it’s a photopolymer-and-punch bundle (cue the cash register ring that tells us it’s a great deal). The images and sentiments are really great – don’t miss out on all the amazing sentiments in the set. The punch works well on its own, but why would you use it alone when you could have all of these great accessories to go with it. Here’s a look at the Whale Done Bundle:
The Bundle coordinates perfectly with the Whale of a Time 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. Here’s a look at the patterns and colors in this incredible pack of papers:
- Curvy Dies. With all the layering waves and seaweed on this card, there’s another wavy element that I can’t overlook – the curvy base of the Pool Party banner is cropped with the Curvy Dies – here’s a closer look:
Here’s a look at the Quite Curvy Bundle that includes this great set of dies:
When the Curvy Celebrations Bundle launched on Tuesday, there may have been a few hiccups. All is fixed now. To shop all of the items in the Curvy Celebrations promotion, CLICK HERE.
- Beautiful Blues. This is the second day in a row that I’ve shared a card with a beautiful mix of blues – that wasn’t planned. The first project shows the blues in Winter, and this project shows the blues in Summer. If you missed my snowy showcase of blues, CLICK HERE to see that project. This card features mixed of Pool Party and Pretty Peacock – somewhere between those two is Coastal Cabana even though it’s not officially listed in the papers. If you like this mix of aqua tones, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
Bundles: Whale Done Stamp Sets: Whale Done Papers: Whale of a Time 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, Pretty Peacock, Thick Whisper White Inks: Pretty Peacock Accessories: Whale Builder Punch, Curvy Dies, Stitched Rectangles Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I hope you’ll pop over to the FabFriday challenge blog to see the cards by the design team members and to play along with this week’s challenge.
Thanks for stopping by today!
