I hope your yesterday was wonderful. I know it doesn’t look like it has looked in years past, but we’ll get there.
Last year, I lost track of time and wasn’t able to send out a Christmas card. It’s the classic tale – the shoemaker has not shoes, right? This year was different, though. Over Thanksgiving, I pulled together a lot of cards for my direct team members and preferred customers. Here’s the card I created and shared this year:
Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- Joy & Peace. I immediately fell in love with the Joy & Peace Bundle when I first saw it in Stampin’ Up!’s August – December 2020 Mini Catalog. I love how the words layer (so many options to build different layers), and I love the reverse-image sentiments that accompany the three main words (they are so easy to stamp and snip out). Here’s a look at the Joy & Peace Bundle, which is retiring on January 4 or when it’s sold out:
Since the Joy Dies are currently offered at a 30% discount, you save more by buying the two items separately than you would with the 10% savings from the bundle. Here are the two items: Peace & Joy Stamp Set (#153430) and Joy Dies (#153530). Here’s a closer look at the sentiment on my card:
I stamped “Peace” and “on Earth” with Night of Navy ink on Thick Whisper White cardstock. I cropped “Peace” with the Joy Dies and snipped “on Earth” with paper snips.
- Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper. During last year’s Fall Stamp-a-long I hosted here in Atlanta, guests received card kits I made with the Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper. I had A LOT of this sweet pattern left with icy pines and a single pine cone. I held on to those to use on this year’s card – never knew how perfectly the Joy & Peace set would work with the paper. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper:
This panel and sentiment are positioned on Whisper White Note Cards – perfect for my festive mail outs.
- Infinity. When I make multiples of something, I like to take a picture of the cards all lined up next to one another. It’s so gratifying for me to see my work come together in a finished product. Here are two shots of my Christmas cards before they were mailed out:
Stamp Sets: Peace & Joy Papers: Feels Like Frost Specialty 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, Thick Whisper White, Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes Inks: Night of Navy Accessories: Joy Dies

GORGEOUS little card my friend.
Thank you so much, Kadie! ♥ I have really loved playing with these dies. Merry Christmas!
I received one of the awesome cards. This year was a Christmas decorating ‘lite’ year. I put up a tree with lights and red wooden bead garland. Then beautiful handmade cards started arriving and I placed them on the tree. Love it. Your card is front and center. Thank you.
I love that idea, Ann! So happy to hear my simple card was front-and-center. 🙂 Hope your Christmas has been wonderful!
Love that card, beautiful in its simplicity. And that paper is so perfect in its imagery. Had to add a second order for the year end closeout when I saw this card.
Thanks, Maureen! It’s gorgeous paper – you won’t regret having some extra. 🙂
Brian I think your card is perfect for the climate the world is in. Peace on earth is exactly what we need. This sheet of “feels like frost” has a calming affect. Nice job!
Thanks, Katrina! It’s a beautiful page, isn’t it? I’m so glad you like the card. Hope your holidays have been wonderful.
