In Bloom with Paper Blooms

We are MORE THAN HALF WAY THROUGH February. Since Sale-a-Bration ends on February 28 this year, we are in the home stretch for earning the amazing products when we order the products we already love. Today’s card pairs an amazing Sale-a-Bration option with an incredible bundle in Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2021 Mini Catalog. Buy one, earn the other. How easy is that?! I’m so happy to help. Here’s my card:

In Bloom Bundle, Pierced Bloom Dies, Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, Brian King

My card features a background and floral elements from the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper, one of the options you can choose when you spend $50 before shipping and taxes. This paper had lots of bold Night of Navy backgrounds, but I’ve showcased the soft colors in this page of flowers. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper:

Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 155222 Such a beautiful mix of colors! If you’d like to flip through these pages in my online store, click on the photo below:

Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 155222The page shown above is the one I used to cut out the flowers and leaves on my card. Although the Sale-a-Bration catalog says the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper coordinates with the Pretty Perennials Bundle, the flowers on this page are a perfect match for the Pierced Blooms Dies, part of the In Bloom Bundle. Here’s a look at this must-have bundle:

In Bloom Bundle, Stampin Up!, 156208The sentiment was stamped with the In Bloom stamp set. The flowers, leaves and frame were cropped the Pierced Blooms Dies. Here’s a closer look at the flowers and leaves on my card:

In Bloom Bundle, Pierced Bloom Dies, Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, Brian KingAren’t these flowers beautiful?! The stitched adds so much to the already-beautiful flowers. I used three pages from the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper on this card:

  • the flowers are cropped from the fifth page shown above
  • the striped background is from the second page shown above
  • the leaves, blue flower and blue center are from eleventh pages show above (cut from the watercolored circles)

I added Opal Rounds to the centers of select flowers for a little shine and dimension on my card – I don’t use a lot of embellishments, but I really love these guys! Here’s a look at the Opal Rounds:

  9. WOWZER! These stamps, dies and paper are one of my favorites. I always thought to use that background paper vertically, and add flowers much like a garden. But your idea is WAY better! Totally makes a difference in the pop of those gorgeous blooms and the sentiment. Great card, Brian!
