NEW VIDEO: Talking Kits with Mom

Last week, I quickly told you about Stampin’ Up!’s new Kit Collection. I shared links to the kits online and gave you a high-level overview. Today, I’m going to share a little bit more about the new kits offered by Stampin’ Up!, including some videos by the Stampin’ Up! team to showcase some of the great kits – but I am also sharing a fun video my Mom made to give you her UNBIASED and COMPLETELY CANDID account of the kits.

But first…let’s look at the kits.

More About the Kits

Have you noticed there are no kits Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog? No worries – Stampin’ Up! is still making kits that are aimed at new paper crafters (but perfect for folks at all levels). Instead of featuring these kits in the annual or seasonal catalogs, though, the options are shown online and will refresh when kits sell out and new kits are introduced. With the Kits Collection, you can now go online and choose from a variety of affordably priced, versatile kits for multiple occasions.

Each kit will provide step-by-step instructions, giving you an expertly choreographed experience that encourages success and builds creative confidence. Kits are all-inclusive, pre-cut, and ready to use; plus, new kits will be added regularly so be sure to check back often!

Kit Collection and Kit-Related Videos

Stampin’ Up! has created some great videos to introduce you to the current Kit Collection. The videos cover everything from “how to stamp” to assembly of each kit.

Talking Kits with Mom

Now for the fun part…Mom was in town last week for my nephew’s high school graduation. While I was working in the afternoon (I’m still working from home), Mom sat quietly in the corner and played with some of the new kits that Stampin’ Up! just released. Both of these are popular Paper Pumpkin kits that Stampin’ Up! turned into kits for the launch of this program. What fun!

Every time I share a project Mom has made, I am flooded with requests for a video – and Mom has happy to sit down with me to make one for you. One of Mom’s requests, though, was that we get what we need in just one take – celebrities make the boldest demands. 🙂

In this video, Mom walks you through the basics of the Kit Program and then takes you through the two kits she put together. She and I chat back and forth about everything – it’s casual and fun – and she cracks me up in several sections.

It’s a long video, but it’s filled with some things that really make me laugh – like when she’s not sure what to say about how the program works so she just holds the box up, saying “kit in a box.” Also, listen out for how “dental floss” and “Sunday dinner” weave their way into our conversation. It’s a long video, but I didn’t want to cut out any of the important information she wanted to share with you. ♥

Brian~Thanks for sharing your mother and her talents with us all (but 11 minutes is NOT a “long video!” I was thinking an hour with any luck!) You two are quite the pair. Love to you both❤️

  7. Oh Brian…..You are SO BLESSED to have such a loving and supportive Mom. What a GREAT SPORT to video our new kits. BEST PART of the recording is the Dental Floss……I was cracking up later in the video when she said to put these treat holders down at each place setting and tuck something (dental floss was on my mind) inside. All I could think of is the look on your guest face when they pulled out their dental floss.
I know now who you got your fun sense of humor from.
    TFS your Mom with us.

    • She’s a stitch, huh? We laughed so much making this video – and I’m happy to be able to share her with y’all. I know how blessed and fortunate I am – she’s pretty spectacular. ♥

I also have to tell you that you look FANTASTIC and so relaxed in front of the camera. Thanks Brian for sharing your Mom with us and, by the way, I certainly did enjoy seeing the kits. Love to both of you.

  9. Oh Ms. Mary, I do believe you are a natural sales lady! Awesome job with the kits and letting us know your thoughts. My grandfather’s fav candy was Hersey’s silver bells as he called them, too. Hugs!

    • I’d never once heard the phrase Hershey’s silver bells until we were filming this video. How funny! You are right, Windy – she’s a natural. ♥

  10. Absolutely delightful! Thank you, Mary for sharing your talents with us!! Well done!!

  12. Donata Pfisterer

Loved Mom’s video. I ordered the two beginner kits and when the arrived dove right in and glitzed them up. Now I can’t wait to try the kits that were my favorite paper pumpkin kits.

    • Thanks so much, Donata! I love that we can “glitz up” the ones that are simple if we want to. You’ll certainly enjoy these others. ♥

  15. She’s so adorable! I love the “ I love you Brian” at the end. And the A++, she’s so cute.

    • Isn’t she?! After that, we both said “bye”, which was odd because we were sitting in the same room. I cut that out. 🙂 Thanks, Traci! ♥

  20. Hi Brian,

Great video with your mom. She did such a great job with the kits that I am interested in ordering the kits. Question: How do I order the kits as a demonstrator. During checkout it says to create an account or pay as a guest. I am a bit confused on how to obtain the kits as a demonstrator. Thanks for all you do to keep us involved and interested.
