Happy Hanukkah with Stampin’ Up!’s Starlit Punch

In August, I shared a Hanukkah card I made with Stitched Triangles Dies (I’m offering a refresher of that card later in this post). There aren’t a lot of current products to honor the December holiday, so I keep my eyes open of opportunities to honor the Jewish holiday with the products I own. Today I’m sharing another Hanukkah card I’ve made. Here’s my card:

Hanukkah card with A Wish for Everything and Starlit Punch, Stampin Up!, Brian KingMisty Moonlight is such a gorgeous shade of blue – rich enough to be sophisticated but soft enough to be sweet. I created a pattern of seven Stars of David on this Misty Moonlight card. Here’s how I built these stars and the rest of this card:

  • I stamped the water spots from the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set with Misty Moonlight ink on a strip of Thick Basic White cardstock.Hanukkah card with A Wish for Everything and Starlit Punch, Stampin Up!, Brian King
  • I punched the six-sided star from the Starlit Punch, which is part of the Stars are Shining Bundle (it’s the star in the bottom, right of the punch shown below). I know the punch is designed to cut out a star or snowflake, but the Star of David shape is definitely there. Here’s a look at the Stars are Shining Bundle: Stars are Shining Bundle, Stampin Up!, 156780
  • I lined up the stars on a 4-3/4″ x 2-1/4″ strip of Misty Moonlight cardstock and popped them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I had originally thought to create a background with these stars (that’s why I have so many) but thought it would be nice to line them up as a focal point on the card. • I layered this panel on a Misty Moonlight piece of paper from the Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper, which can be your free selection with a $50 order (before shipping and taxes) during Sale-a-Bration (which ends September 30). • I stamped “HAPPY” and “HANUKKAH” on 3/8″ strips of Thick Basic White cardstock from the A Wish for Everything stamp set, which features a wide variety of sentiments for a lot of holidays and special occasions. A Wish for Everything, Stampin Up! 149320

As you are sending cards in December, you can honor your Jewish friends with a Hanukkah card that’s made just for them. Here’s the Hanukkah card I made in August with the Stitched Triangles Dies (you can click on the image below to read the original post for this project):
