Stampin’ Up!’s Merriest Moments

Today I’m sharing a simple (and easy) Christmas card that features two great bundles from Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2021 Mini Catalog and a Designer Series Paper from the 2021 Annual Catalog. I’ve got so much to share about this simple card, so I hope you’ll read on after enjoying this simple card. Here’s my card:

Merriest Moments Bundle, Peaceful Cabin, Stampin Up!, Brian King, Christmas cardThe Merriest Moments Bundle is one of the coolest things I’ve ever worked with – and it does so much more than you can imagine (unless you’ve already studied your catalog closely). Not only can you emboss a beautiful frame on a cardstock panel, but you can crop out that frame with an outline die that FITS RIGHT INSIDE THE EMBOSSING FOLDER so you can emboss and cut at the same time. This HYBRID Embossing Folder is a game-changer! After I embossed my frame and cropped around it inside the embossing folder, I positioned my cutout inside the detailed die (bottom, right below) to cut a more detailed image. I was THRILLED with how easy this was to use. Here’s a look at the Merriest Moments Bundle:

Merriest Moments Bundle, Stampin Up! 156783How fun is that?! I also used the dies in the coordinating dies to crop out the stitched frame that’s the focal point of my card (if the focus isn’t the beautiful greenery around the sentiment). The sentiment is pulled from the Peaceful Cabin stamp set, also new in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2021 Mini Catalog. Isn’t it beautiful?!

You might not be able to see it on my first picture, but here’s a closer look at the texture in the greenery and the thin Sahara Sand frame I added around the stitched sentiment:

It adds a beautiful backdrop without taking away from the beautiful frame. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Tidings of Christmas 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper:

Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, 155718 I tried to add additional panels in the background of my card and thought to add several different embellishments. In the end, I decided to showcase the stamp, dies and embossing folder as-is. I hope you like what I’ve made. I have other ideas for how to use this bundle, and I’ll be sharing more in the near future. ♥

  1. Stunning card using multiple bundles.

  2. What a pretty combo and a lovely card!

  3. I think my friend…….You created the PERFECT (and might I add CASEable) holiday card for this year. TFS! (PS…..my blog took an addtional 202 hits yesterday because of your post and linking me to it. THANKS my friend.)

  4. I love the simplicity of this card, Brian. Great job! Enjoy your day!

  5. Absolutely gorgeous. I am in love with the dies/embossing folder combos! Although simple, your signature layers add depth and richness.

  6. WOW! That tiny Sahara Sand frame around the sentiment is perfect! Is it about 1/16 of an inch? I’m not sure my old eyes would be able to do such a perfect job as you have. I saw a previous post of yours using this die, and immediately purchased it. I have yet to use it…but I am sure going to case this one! Perfectly perfect, my friend.
