Better Days for the Candy Hearts Blog Hop

Every year Stampin’ Up! introduces us to a set of five on-trend colors that will stick around for two years. I love the reveal of the new In Colors – I love soaking them in and finding what color combinations make them most special. SO EXCITING! The five colors that were introduced to us last month are AMAZING! Here’s a look at Stampin’ Up!’s 2022-2024 In Colors:

I’ve showcased two of these colors on the simple card I’ve made to share with you today. Here’s my card with Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide:

What bright, beautiful colors these are! The Better Days photopolymer stamp set conveys positive vibes and good feelings – perfect for a pick-me-up card! Here’s a look at the Better Days stamp set that features this beautiful image and sentiment:

While the Better Days stamp set features images to fill in the grass, sky and sun I decided to paper-piece the image at the center of this card. I stamped the window pane four times – on Tahitian Tide cardstock, on Parakeet Party cardstock, on Daffodil Delight cardstock and on Basic White cardstock. I cut the entire window image (minus the outer-most frame) out of the Tahitian Tide cardstock, cut the grass from the Parakeet Party cardstock and the sun from the Daffodil Delight. I glued those three pieces together and glue them inside the stamped image on Basic White.

I layered this focal panel with Basic Black to mimic the frame around the window and then again with Thick Basic White. I popped that up on a Tahitian Tide pattern from the 2022-2024 In Color 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, framed that with Basic White and glued that on a Tahitian Tide cardstock base. Simple and fun, huh?!

The bright colors on my card are a perfect pick-me-up. If you like the mix of Daffodil Delight, Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
