When I set out to make yesterday’s card, I wanted to build my card around the page of festive presents in the Santa Express Designer Series Paper. As the card evolved, the page of presents was replaced with the stack of presents in the coordinating Memories & More Cards. I could barely sleep last night, knowing I had a panel of paper that still needed to be showcased, so I made this simple card to share with you today:
I’ll sleep like a baby tonight, knowing this project was complete. 🙂 My card showcases a solid block of the busy, busy patterns in this gorgeous page of papers on a 4-1/4″ square card. I added three strips (one 1/2″ and two 1/4″) to ground the sentiment with simple additions to not further busy-up the pattern. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Santa Express Designer Series Paper:
The sentiment at the center of this card is pulled from the Christmas to Remember stamp set, a carryover from last year’s Holiday Mini that is available in this year’s Annual Catalog. I heat embossed the sentiment with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Evening Evergreen cardstock and cropped it with the Seasonal Labels Dies. Here’s a closer look at the sentiment on my card:
I accented the card with a handful of the Soft Succulent Festive Pearls. While the pearls aren’t an exact match with the Mint Macaron, they are a lovely accent with a soft green and a pop of shine.
While yesterday’s card highlighted the pinks and reds in the stack of presents, today’s card focuses on the rich green. The three strips behind the sentiment are all pulled from the Santa Express Designer Series Paper to accent the paper with bold lines across the center of the card.
