A Pocket Fold Card for Him

Over the past two days, I’ve shared the cards I made for my Online Stamp-a-Long. The cards feature different ways to decorate a simple pocket fold card. If you missed the first two cards, you can see the first one hereand see the second one here. The first card features a large overlay, and the second card features a belly band. Today’s card features a large circle that overlaps the fold – as simple as can be. Here’s a perfect-for-him card with Allison Okamitsu’s pocket fold and products from the He’s All That Suite:

He's All That, He's the Man, Stampin Up!, Brian King, Fun Fold Pocket CardHow simple? How sweet? It might look like an ordinary card, but when you follow the arrow, a little surprise starts to appear.

He's All That, He's the Man, Stampin Up!, Brian King, Fun Fold Pocket CardThe pocket is perfect for a gift card and a little note. I stamped this “Happy Father’s Day” sentiment on a torn notebook punch out from the He’s the Man Specialty Designer Series Paper – so cool, huh? Here’s a closer look:

Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this pack of papers:

If you want to build your own pocket fold card, you don’t have to follow my measurements – here’s how you can build your own pocket fold card in any dimensions you want:

  • landscape – on a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of cardstock, score at any given length to serve as the pocket flap (1″, 1-1/2″ or 2″work well). Then add a score line 5-1/2″ away from the first score line.
  • portrait – on a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of cardstock, score at any given length to serve as the pocket flap (1″, 1-1/2″ or 2″ work well). Then add a score line 4-1/4″ away from the first score line.

How easy was that?! Play around with the measurements you like most and then design your card with the papers, inks and stamps you most love.

I love the gorgeous mix of warm and sweet colors in this pack of papers. If you like the combination of Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso as much as I do, I hope you will save this for future reference:
