A Closer Look at Lemon Lolly

For many years, I’ve been called for jury duty only to be sent home on the first day. After reporting for jury duty this past Monday and after a full day of questioning, my luck changed. I’ve been placed on an active trial and expect to report to the courthouse for long hours over the remainder of this week. That won’t stop the fun here, though! I’m rolling out some fun color comparisons and color combinations for you over the next few days. I hope you’ll check them all out!

New Core Colors

Last week, I shared the four new colors that have been added to Stampin’ Up! core colors in the upcoming 2023 Annual Catalog (these four beauties have bypassed the In Color path and have gone straight to the color families) as a part of Stampin’ Up!’s amazing Color Refresh. Lemon Lolly

Today I’m sharing a little more about Lemon Lolly – first, let’s take another look at this gorgeous, soft yellow that’s now a part of our Subtles Core Colors:

If you have British or Australian friends, you likely already know that “lolly” is an informal word for candy or or a lollipop (it can also be used to describe a Popsicle treat). Lemon Lolly is such a sweet color – you can almost taste the sweetness and the touch of sour. ♥

Lemon Lolly is a pure, soft yellow. It’s so much purer than So Saffron (a retiring Subtles yellow) and Daffodil Delight (a renaming Brights yellow). I still love both of these colors, but I didn’t realize how far they were from pure yellow – until now. I’m SO EXCITED by Lemon Lolly. Here’s how it compares with these other familiar yellows:

Lemon Lolly also plays well with a wide variety of colors and colors in other color families. Here are three color combinations with Lemon Lolly that show just how versatile it can be:
