A Closer Look at Bubble Bath

Today I’m rolling out the second fun color comparisons and color combinations for the new core colors. If you missed Lemon Lolly, you can see that post here. Today, I’m taking a closer look at Bubble Bath. I hope you’ll check them all out!

New Core Colors

Last week, I shared the four new colors that have been added to Stampin’ Up! core colors in the upcoming 2023 Annual Catalog (these four beauties have bypassed the In Color path and have gone straight to the color families) as a part of Stampin’ Up!’s amazing Color Refresh. Here are the four new core colors:

Bubble Bath

Today I’m sharing a little more about Bubble Bath – first, let’s take another look at this sweet, soft color that’s now a part of our Subtles Core Colors:

2023 New Core Color - Bubble BathI have heard so many people (myself included) say how wonderful it is to have a new, soft pink in our collection. Depending on what colors Bubble Bath is paired with, though, it can show as purple. To prove that point, here’s a comparison of Bubble Bath with Pink Pirouette (a pure pink that retired five years ago) and Fresh Freesia (which transitions from the In Colors to the Core Colors in the new catalog):

Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Pink Pirouette, Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia

I’m totally head-over-heals for Bubble Bath, but wouldn’t you say it’s closer to purple than pink? Hold your hand over Pink Pirouette, and I think you’ll agree that the new color looks like a variant of Fresh Freesia.

3 Bubble Bath Color Combinations

Bubble Bath plays well with a wide variety of colors and colors in other color families. Here are three color combinations with Bubble Bath that show just how versatile it can be:

Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Bubble Bath, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Bubble Bath, Berry Burst, Misty Moonlight Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Bubble Bath, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray

Am I right?! How versatile is this sweet color?! I will be reaching for Bubble Bath a lot in the coming years. When you receive your Annual Catalog, you’ll see it all over the new book. I’m so happy to welcome Bubble Bath to the core colors!

Thanks for stopping by today!

  1. Good morning, Brian!
I am excited about the new Bubble Bath pink! I totally didn’t think about pairing it with grays. Hadn’t really thought too much about it yet. I’ve always loved pink and gray! Thank you so much for reminding me. The other two combinations you’ve shown are great as well. Thank you, Brian, and have a lovely day.

  2. I like this one. I just made a card with it and the new in color Moody Mauve and they look great together. I like your combos, too!

  3. I love this pretty pink and can’t wait to use all of the new colors. Enjoy your day!

  4. Yes, I agree that even though the name will make you think it is a BUBBLE GUM PINK ….it isn`t ! It is pretty though and I will get it because I love pinks !
Thank you for the color comparing examples ! It does reflect a bit lavender -ish !

Pink and purples are my favorites…especially w/grays, and some blues. Just love your color combos for inspiration for us and the ways we sometimes see more than one hue in a color depending on how it is paired!
How’s jury duty going? I would be a terrible juror for many reasons, but I bet you are an excellent one! Level-headed and calm, I’m sure.
