It’s time for another Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop – what fun! The Be Inspired Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world who are excited to share our themed projects with you. I’m so honored to be a part of this group of talented stampers!
For today’s Be Inspired Blog Hop, we are creating projects inspired by the soft and sweet Subtles Color Collection. I’m working with three new additions to the Subtles Family today – how fun am I?! I hope our projects inspire you. If you aren’t starting the hop here, then you probably just popped over from the project shared by my talented friend Carolynn Sander.
You Made My Day
As you flip through your new 2023 Annual Catalog, you’ll find four new or returning colors in the Subtles Collection. Lemon Lolly and Bubble Bath make their debut, while Lost Lagoon and Fresh Freesia make a welcomed return. I use three of these colors on my project today. The three colors on my card (Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath and Lost Lagoon) are also featured on the front cover of the new catalog. Here’s a look at this book:
Yesterday I shared a closer look at the colors on the cover and each of the showcased projects – if you missed that post, you can see it here. Not only is today’s project inspired by the colors on the cover of this catalog, but my card is also inspired by the cover design itself. Here’s my card:
The 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ focal panel on my card features three 2″ strips of Subtles cardstock, angled like the front cover of the new catalog. The daisies on my card front are cropped with Basic White cardstock – I didn’t add any color to the daisies so the focus would be on the soft, sweet colors. Here’s a look at the Cheerful Daisies Bundle, which includes the dies I used to build my trio of flowers:
It also happens this bundle is featured in the projects on the front cover of the catalog. Here’s a closer look at the daisies:
The new catalog launches May 2 – less than a week away. I can hardly wait. I hope this bundle and these colors will be on your first order from the new book. If you like this sweet mix of Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath and Lost Lagoon as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
I hope you like my project today! I hope you’ll continue the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop to see more projects by my talented friends – I’m sure you’ll love them. The next stop is my super-awesome friend, Emma Goddard. Click on the banner below to continue through the hop:
I hope you’ll hop through the rest of the projects in this lineup. In case you get off-track at any point during the hop, here’s a listing of all the participants in this hop:
Thanks for stopping by today!

Such soft and pretty pastels! Perfect for color blocking!
Thanks, Mary! I had fun with these soft colors (until I had to take a photo of the card). 😀
I love the color combination with the pretty white daisies. Love that there is one die to cut those three daisies, plus the die that adds the texture on top. Just beautiful. Enjoy your day!
It’s an innovative set of dies, Hilda! You’re going to love it! Hope your day has been great!
Perfection in color-blocking. The white is an awesome punch! ♥️
Thanks, Linda! I tried to add Lemon Lolly daisies, but the color blocking called for all-white flowers. I love how they layered. Glad you like it.
Love the tri colors and the white large daisy die together!
Thanks, my friend! ♥
Brian, love how you used the catalog as your inspiration for your card. It looks like you ended up using Fresh Freesa instead of the new Bubble Bath. Either way, it looks awesome!
Thanks, Heidi. Bubble Bath and Fresh Freesia are closer in tone than one might think – Bubble Bath is more purple than pink. The photo might distort the color a bit, but it’s definitely Bubble Bath. 🙂 Thanks for your comments!
I love your card Brian, the background is so striking x
