I’m seeing red – gorgeous and rich Real Red ink, cardstock, accessories and Designer Series Paper designs – and I’ve put them all on a card to share with you today. Real Red is a special color for celebrations throughout the year (Valentine’s Day, birthdays and Mother’s Day come to mind), but Real Red really comes to life at Christmastime. I couldn’t be happier to have so many Real Red options for this card:
My card features a panel of cozy fireside images at Christmas. Among the images are Christmas trees, wreaths, candles and comfy chairs. The stocking are hung, and you can feel how cold the window panes are. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Traditions of St. Nick Designer Series Paper:
Along with the release of Stampin’ UP!’s Holiday Mini Catalog last week, the company released five beautiful, new Designer Series Paper options that are available online. To read more about these new papers (who doesn’t love new stuff?!), click here or on the image below. Oh, what fun!

I cut the panel of Traditions of St. Nick Designer Series Paper in three pieces that showcased scenes on the paper. I framed the scene with an ornate design with Real Red and Cherry Cobbler. I love how the ornate pattern plays a background role on this card (but it’s also a very important one). Here’s a closer look:
The left panel is about 1-1/4″ into the panel, and the top, right piece is cut about 1-1/4″ from the top. The measurements you cut will depend on the placement of elements on the piece of paper you are using as your base. I added another panel of the ornate pattern to the lower, right corner panel to frame the sentiment on my card.
That brings me to the sentiment that’s stamped with the Heartfelt Hexagons stamp set and cropped with the coordinating Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. Here’s a look at this new, online bundle:
