For today’s Be Inspired Blog Hop, we are creating projects inspired by Stampin’ Up! embossing folders. Embossing Folders offer a great way to add texture to a project – so easy, so effective. We Wish You a Merry Christmas
Over the years, the mix of Pool Party and Real Red have been a favorite of mine – it’s perfect for Spring, Summer and Winter. I’ve recently been brightening that combination a bit by replacing Real Red with Poppy Parade. LOVE! I’ve created a simple card with embossed panels in this gorgeous combination and pairing them with Shaded Spruce. Here’s my card:
The Merriest Trees Bundle features a variety of gorgeous trees, stars and tags. One of the trees coordinates with a sentiment in the stamp set – I couldn’t help but to reach for that one! Here’s a look at the Merriest Trees Bundle, which features the Merriest Trees photopolymer stamp set and Merriest Trees Dies:
I heat embossed the sentiment with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Shaded Spruce cardstock and cropped it with a die from the Merriest Trees Bundle. I mounted the tree on a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock cropped with a 2-3/8″ Circle Punch and positioned the tree on a nest of gold trim from the Gold & Silver 1/8″ Trim Combo Pack, an Online Exclusive item (links provided at the base of this post). I added three gold Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems for a little extra shine. Here’s a closer look:
How about we get to the part of the card that features embossing folders? The background of my card is comprised of three Poppy Parade panels and three Pool Party panels. Each 1-1/4″ x 2-1/2″ panel is embossed with one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders (also an Online Exclusives product). I embossed the Poppy Parade panels with the crosshatch design and the Pool Party panels with the flower design. Here’s a look at the Basics 3D Embossing Folders:
