Time for a Celebration with Them Bones

Is there anything more celebratory than a trio of dancing skeletons? I was prepared to add a “Trick or Treat” sentiment to this card, but after I cropped the three skeletons from a variety of dance poses in the Them Bones Designer Series Paper, I knew I needed something more. Here’s the card I made to share with you today:

The hounds tooth background and each of the dancing skeletons (I couldn’t get them to spell “YMCA”) are pulled right from the Them Bones Designer Series Paper – a fun Halloween-themed pack of papers with a few pages that can be used outside of the Halloween Holiday. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Them Bones Designer Series Paper:

Them Bones Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 162215I cropped each of the skeletons with a circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies and then framed each on with a white circle I cropped with 1-3/4″ Circle Punch. How festive are these guys?

I heat embossed the sentiment on a 1″ x 3″ strip of Cajun Craze cardstock with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and framed it with a tiny white border to match the skeletons. The sentiment is pulled from the Beautiful Balloons stamp set, which is part of the Beautiful Balloons Bundle. Here’s a closer look at this bundle:

Beautiful Balloons Bundle, Stampin Up! 161457 With the Cajun Craze circles and a mostly Pumpkin Pie backdrop, I knew a black sentiment and card base would add a little drama to this card. I added some Basic Black Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems for a little added shine. If you like the combination of Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and Basic Black as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:.
