You’re Amazing, Flowering Zinnias: Part 2

Yesterday I shared some gift boxes I made for some amazing team members who achieved big milestones this month. If you missed that post, you can see it here. The simple gift boxes were covered with a page of the Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper and tied with a Silver & White 1/2″ Sheer Ribbon. So simple, but so fancy. Tucked inside each box was a coordinating 3″ x 3″ card. Here’s one of those cards:

Color coordination was important here, so I had to proceed with caution. Each 3″ x 3″ card was designed with a colorful base (3″ x 6″, scored at 3″), a 2-3/4″ square panel of Basic White and a 2-5/8″ square of the Designer Series Paper. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the vibrant Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper:

a page from Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!First, I cut the paper at 6″ along the white band in the middle to create two strips of flowers. I cut 3″ strips from the top (with the white on top and capturing the tops of the flowers) and created 3″ squares from those. I used these squares on the front of my boxes. I then cut 2-5/8″ strips from the bottom of the remaining strips to cut 2-5/8″ squares for the cards inside. Cutting the patterns this way, I was able to use SO MUCH of the gorgeous paper.

Here’s a quick graphic I made to show you how I cut the paper to make the most of it:

The “congratulations” sentiment on the cards was stamped with the Lovely & Sweet stamp set in Stampin’ Up!’s January – April 2024 Mini Catalog. Links to the stamp set are included in the product listing below.

As I mentioned above, each card paired with a gift box. I pulled four of the twelve colors from the Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper for the designs – Melon Mambo, Highland Heather, Pumpkin Pie and Lemon Lime Twist. What fun! Here’s a look at how the cards paired with the boxes I mailed out:
