A Trio of Mother’s Day Cards

Happy Mother’s Day Eve. I’m so happy to be spending tomorrow with a lot of special moms in my family – my mom, my mother-in-law and two sister-in-laws. Does it get any better than that?! I designed one card and made three cards in different colors. The GORGEOUS Wildly Flowering Designer Series Paper was a brilliant starting point, but I was able to pull in a lot of other products I love. Here’s a look at the three cards I made:

The 1-1/4″ strips of patterned paper are pulled from the Wildly Flowering Designer Series Paper. Here’s a look at the incredible colors and patterns in this pack of papers:

The patterns in this pack of papers remind me of the watercolored flowers in the Textured Floral stamp set, so I reached for it as an accent on my cards. Here’s a look at this returning stamp set:

Textured Floral, Stampin Up!, 161229The stamped flowers and leaves were cropped with the coordinating dies – a link is included at the base of this post.

The “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment is pulled from the Sentimental Rose Card Kit and punched with the new Labeled with Love Punch. The bundle (on page 58 of the 2024 Annual Catalog) features the option of a punch or a set of 3 dies. How cool! With an option, I’ll always choose a punch. 🙂

The base of my sentiment is an Early Espresso stitched circle from the Spotlight on Nature Dies and a 1-3/4″ Circle punch of the coordinating card base color. Here’s a look at these must-have dies:

Spotlight on Nature Dies, Stampin Up! 163580I accented each of these cards with Early Espresso, Mossy Meadow and Moody Mauve (such a rich combination of colors). It’s the mix of the three card bases, though, that I love with this trio of cards. If you love this mix of Boho Blue, Crumb Cake and Wild Wheat as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:

Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Boho Blue, Crumb Cake, Wild WheatI accented each card with a trio of clear opal rounds from the new Opal Rounds Assortment. Such a perfect accent for the cards!

  1. Lovely screens and beautiful paper!

  2. These 3 color combinations make lovely Mother’s Day cards. I love the Textured Floral flowers and the circles from Spotlight on Nature. So sweet. Enjoy your day!

  3. When I first saw this paper, I thought how ugly. On second look, I thought it has
Possibilities. Today in your cards WOW! Now, I think I need the whole suite!
Thanks Brian for sharing your great ideas.

  4. Well done, I love all the cards. But anything in blue gets my vote.
