Incredible Royal Swaps – Day 1

I love my InKing Royalty team – my talented and generous team members share projects they’ve made in our InKing Royalty Facebook group (a fun group of supportive stampers who’ve signed up with me or the members in my first and second levels). There’s nothing like receiving a card in the mail, though,

This past month, I hosted a card swap with my team to share exciting projects and creative inspiration with fellow team members. Participants designed a card with current Stampin’ Up! products and sent me 10. In return, they each received 10 cards in return and a little gift. If you missed my swap card project, you can see it here.

Today I’m excited to share a batch of the swap cards I received. Some are brand new stampers, and others have been stamping for years. I hope you’ll leave a comment to let them know how much you love their projects.

Angela Stovall

I adore Angela’s vision for the flowers in the Magnolia Mood stamp set. She colored the flowers and arranged them with a very traditional aesthetic…but made them very modern with the bright colors behind them. The nest of bright leaves (Summer Splash) and color-blocked backdrop (Petunia Pop and Peach Pie) further modernize these flowers for a well-balanced, beautiful card. The sentiment, also from Magnolia Mood, is such a sweet one. Here’s Angela’s swap card:

Key Ingredients: Magnolia Mood Bundle (#163507), 2024-2026 In Color 8-1/2″ x 11 Cardstock (#163803)

Pam Morris

Pam is my Stampin’ Up! upline – I signed up with her 12 years ago when I started this amazing journey. I have a phrase I use to describe a perfectly simple (but also stunning) card – it’s “a Pam card.” Pam has the unique ability to take one tiny image, showcase it simply on a card and still make you swoon. Pam painted color onto watercolor Paper with her Water Painters and layered it on a square from the Stylish Shapes Dies. She added shiny, gold foliage with the Thoughtful Wishes Dies and a sweet sentiment from the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set. So sweet, so simple. Here’s Pam’s swap card:

Katie Ferguson

Katie has been a member of my InKing Royalty team since 20213, so she’s been with me since (near) the beginning. It might look like there’s a lot of math going on in Katie’s gorgeous card to get all the pieces lined up so perfectly – but Katie has a trick for that. Rather than cutting four 7-8″ wide strips of Designer Series Paper (and worrying about the alignment of the script on the page, Katie cut one 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of this paper, add the sentiment and then added 1/8″ strips of Pebbled Path cardstock to frame the sentiment and frame the background. Love it! Here’s Katie’s swap card:

Karen Applegate

The layout of Karen’s Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock beauty is simple and sweet. She’s not only showcasing the beautiful, carried-over Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper (the backdrop and the gingham strip across the front), but she stamped a design on a coordinating Pretty Peacock panel with the Lifetime of Love stamp set and added a pair of leaves from the same set. So beautiful! Here’s Karen’s swap card:

Traci Davis

How sweet is Traci’s just-in-time-for-Summer card?! Yum! With the Ice Cream Swirl Dies, she cropped the ice cream using Calypso Coral and Petal Pink cardstock. The cone is stamped on Crumb Cake and cropped with the same dies. Traci added a little texture to the backdrop by blending Pool Party ink into the Basic White paper. Here’s Traci’s swap card:

Jaynie Busche

Gasp! I’ve loved the landscape and sweet deer in the Grove Dies for years (this one’s been around for a while), but I’ve never seem that as beautifully showcased as the card Jaynie sent for the swap. A Basic Black base and a popped up panel with the trees cropped from that panel are set against a blended backdrop. Here’s Jaynie’s stunning swap card:

What do you think?! Do you see some products or techniques that you can’t live without?! Aren’t these projects inspiring and wonderful?! I hope you’ll leave a comment to let these artists know how much you enjoy their work. ♥

I’ll be back later in the week to share some more from the swap!
