Brian’s Week in Review: October 6, 2024

Brian's Week in ReviewIt’s Sunday – and that means it’s time to take a look back at the past week in my Week in Review post.

In today’s post, I want to share a quick rundown of the week (for those who don’t follow me every day) and a little extra background (for those who already tune in every day). Always such fun!

Monday

My blog this week has been all about Stampin’ Up! promotions and my projects with September’s Autumn Abundance Paper Pumpkin Kit. Boy, did I have fun with that kit! On Monday, I shared two of the projects I made for my Pumpkin in the Fungeon call using the wood ring card bases. Here’s a look at one of those projects:

Tuesday

Tuesday marks a flip in the calendar from September to October. With that flip came two Stampin’ Up! promotions you’ll want to check out. One gives you a discount on some great products, and the other gives you added benefits for joining Stampin’ Up! during October.

At the kickoff of October, demonstrators can pre-order from the upcoming Online Exclusives. New demonstrators can add those products to their Starter Kit – what fun! As such, I shared some sneak peeks at products from that upcoming offering. You don’t want to miss those!

If you’d like to learn more about either of these promotions (and see a picture of my adorable Mom promoting the Kits Collection) or grab that sneak peek at the pre-order items, CLICK HERE.

Wednesday

At the same time Stampin’ Up! was launching a month-long Kits Collection Sale, the company released two new kits that I shared with you on Wednesday. I love that Stampin’ Up! is launching two new kits every month – there’s something in the collection for everyone.

Alpine Air Kit, Stampin Up! 164409I’ve ordered the Alpine Air kit. The as-is designs are beautiful, but I’m sure I’ll play with the layers and create something new with the elements. Such fun.

Thursday

I loved playing with the elements of September’s Autumn Abundance Paper Pumpkin Kit. On Thursday I shared two more alternative projects with the incredible kit. Here’s a quick look at these two projects:

Paper Pumpkin Alternatives, Autumn Abundance Kit, September 2024, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThe card on the left is embossed with a new 3D Embossing Folder that gives the card a very special appeal. The square card on the right might look simple, but there are multiple folding layers that make it really special. If you’d like to read more about these projects, CLICK HERE.

Friday

It’s an understatement that I love this time of year – the change from hot summer to cool Autumn. The very moment Sweet Days of Autumn came into my life through the September 2024 Scrapbooking Brochure, I was in love. On Friday I shared a card with the papers AND the coordinating Sticker page. While they are designed for scrapbooks, there are so many fun cards to be made with the pages.

Here’s the card I made and shared with you on Friday:

Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper & Sticker Pack, Stampin Up!, Brian KingIt’s a little more rustic and distressed than I normally make, but I think you can still see my graphic eye at work. To read more about this project (including links to the product I used), CLICK HERE.

Saturday

Saturday was a worldwide holiday – World Card Making Day is one of the most popular holidays of all holidays. Maybe that’s a little extreme, but it’s a great day for card makers to set aside all responsibilities and make cards. ♥

To kick off World Card Making Day, I shared a parade of cards that feature the world, maps and globes. I hope these projects inspired you to make something beautiful in honor of the holiday.

Here’s my favorite project from the lineup from yesterday’s post:

Watercolor World, Happy Labels, Stampin Up!, Brian KingI made this card for Emma Goddard when I made my way to the UK last year to visit her during my vacation.

Also this week…a sweet card with the Something for Everything Mix & Match Ephemera Pack AND a Blog Candy Giveaway you won’t want to miss. ♥
