Paper Pumpkin Alternatives – Autumn Abundance (day 3)

On Monday I shared two projects from the Pumpkin in the Fungeon call I hosted with my Paper Pumpkin subscribers over the weekend (if you missed that post, you can see those projects here). On Wednesday I shared two more projects from the same call (if you missed that post, you can see those projects here). Today I’m sharing a trio of simple cards I made with additional elements of the kit – so simple, so sweet.

Pumpkin in the Fungeon, Brian KingI had loads of fun with September’s Autumn Abundance kit – it’s such a fun mix of beautiful, Autumn images and an adorable snail (I’m saving him for another day). The designs celebrate gratitude and feature beautiful Fall images. This kit has something for everyone. Today I’m sharing three more cards I made with September’s kit (these were unfinished at the time of my call).

More About The Kit

Here’s a look at the finished projects (as designed) from August’s Autumn Abundance Paper Pumpkin Kit:

Autumn Abundance, September 2024 Paper Pumpkin, Stampin Up!The designed projects are gorgeous (but you know I’m partial to Fall colors and images), but you know we love to make alternative projects with the goodies inside the box. More on those in just a moment. First, here’s a look at the sweet stamp set that accompanied this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit:

Alternative Projects

Here’s a look at the third batch of alternative projects I’m happy to share from the Autumn Abundance Paper Pumpkin Kit:

Paper Pumpkin Alternatives, Autumn Abundance Kit, September 2024, Stampin Up!, Brian King

All three of these cards feature similar elements, but each has its own personality. Here’s what’s included on each:

  • a 4-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ panel of Basic White cardstock, framed with Poppy Parade and another panel of Basic White
  • a Poppy Parade base that’s the same size as a Note Card (7″ x 5″ scored at 3-1/2″)
  • a sentiment from the coordinating stamp set (stamped in Poppy Parade)
  • a punched-out element from the Autumn Abundance Paper Pumpkin Kit
  • a trio of clear ribboned dots from the Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive-Backed Dots

I changed the position of the elements on each card (and the placement of the dots) to give each card its own personality.

A Closer Look at All Three Cards

Here’s a closer each of the three cards showcased above:

Paper Pumpkin Alternatives, Autumn Abundance Kit, September 2024, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThe mushroom is positioned along the right side of the sentiment on the first card. I positioned a large dot on the right side of the mushroom and two smaller dots on the top, left of the cap.

Paper Pumpkin Alternatives, Autumn Abundance Kit, September 2024, Stampin Up!, Brian KingHow adorable is that snail?! I centered him along the top, center of the sentiment and added a trail of three dots behind him. Cute, huh?

Paper Pumpkin Alternatives, Autumn Abundance Kit, September 2024, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThe gorgeous leaf also has a touch of Poppy Parade. I stamped the sentiment on the card panel, stamped it on the leaf where I wanted it and then positioned the leaf over the sentiment, aligning it to appear seamless. I glued the leave to the card panel below it and added a single Stampin’ Dimensional behind the top of the leaf to lift it up from the card along the top.
