So Lucky to Know You

St. Patrick’s Day is a week away (Monday, March 17 this year). I don’t send out St. Patrick’s Day cards, but I couldn’t resist making a green-filled thank you card with a peppering of small shamrocks. To become one with the design, I rolled around in a field of shamrocks for an hour and then popped up to make this happy card:

Tags of Thanks, On the Go Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, shamrocks for St Patrick's DayThe sentiment – “so lucky to know you” – is a great sentiment for any time of year, but it offers a perfect reason to crank out some luck-of-the-Irish shamrocks. Here’s a look at the Tags of Thanks Bundle that includes the sentiment on my card (don’t sleep on this photopolymer/punch trio bundle):

Tags of Thanks, On the Go Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, shamrocks for St Patrick's DayI cropped a filed of shamrocks with the tiny hearts in the Tags to Go Bundle, another new bundle in the recent Online Exclusives offering. A single die crops three hearts – nice! I cropped these hearts from Shy Shamrock cardstock and mounted them on a Mini Glue dot on my card. Here’s a look at the must-have Tags to Go Bundle, which includes the dies for these tiny hearts:

Tags of Thanks, On the Go Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, shamrocks for St Patrick's DayIt’s hard to miss the mix of Shy Shamrock patterns on the focal panel of my card – all three are from the 2024-2026 In Color 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (all Shy Shamrock). I love the monochromatic look at all three of these patterns. Behind the focal panel, I added a thatched page of Shy Shamrock (with a little Azure Afternoon thrown in) from the On the Go Designer Series Paper. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this pack of papers:

  1. Very nice, Brian, as usual. I do make about six St. Pat’s cards, which I MUST do today to get them out on time.

  2. Oh my lucky charms . . . love the little shamrocks!

  3. Great card! I love the sweet sentiment. Now that stamp set is on my “Need” list. Enjoy your day!

  4. So cute! Love how you made those shamrocks out of tiny hearts!

  5. How creative Brian! You’ve done it again!
All those items were off my radar.

  6. There’s method acting, now there is method stamping. I’ll forgo the field rolling and just CASE this idea, LOL. Cute little shamrocks!

    • I do whatever it takes, Cindie! Let me do “the work” so you don’t have to. It took me forever to find a patch of shamrocks, but once there…
