NEWSFLASH – You’re Fabulous!

The Freshly Made Sketches team shares a new sketch each week, and I’m excited to play along with Amy O’Neill’s challenge this week. I knew the die I’d reach for when I saw this pocket shape on the sketch (we can use any shape, but I immediately had a plan). I had no idea where it would go from there, but I’m happy with how it turned out. Here’s the sketch for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge:

FMS 681And here’s the card I made:

Notes & Totes Bundle, Birthday Celebration Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingI set out to use the pocket-shaped die from the Birthday Celebrations Dies, but I had no idea when I started that I’d pull in some accessories and a brilliant sentiment from the new Notes & Totes Bundle, which is available in Stampin’ Up!’s 2025 Annual Catalog that launches in May. Here’s a look at this new bundle:

Notes & Totes Bundle, Stampin' UP! 165241The Notes & Totes Bundle is designed around a large bag that can be accessorized in many ways and filled with any number of items in the dies. I added two pairs of heart-shaped glasses to the pocket – so fun! The sentiment, though, is one of three winning sentiments in the new set. Here’s a closer look at the sentiment and glasses on my pocket:

Notes & Totes Bundle, Birthday Celebration Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingThe glasses are built with a mix of Basic Black, Daffodil Delight and Poppy Parade cardstock – and one other tool to give them a little shine. Before cropping the black base for these glasses, I covered the paper with packing tape – this faux embossing give a fun shine to the glasses. Here’s a look:

Notes & Totes Bundle, Birthday Celebration Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingThe pocket and starry background on my card are pulled from the Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper that debuted two years ago and was held over for one more year – but it’s currently in the Last Chance Products sale at a discount. It will be gone when it sells out – if you love this paper as much as I do, you may want to grab a pack or two before it’s gone. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper:

Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 161449My card features primary colors – yellow, red and blue. I started with red and blue and added the yellow to (hopefully) pull it away from the patriotic look of the card. The red, white and blue (and stars) weren’t helping. If you love this mix of Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade and Blueberry Bushel as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
