Cheers with Celebratory Sips for FMS 692

I’ve been packing the Cheers & Sips Super-Awesome Fun Time Card Kits that will ship early next week, so it makes sense that Cheers & Sips stamp set and Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper was top-of-mind when I saw this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge design. I often turn to online challenges to spark a little inspiration when I’m not sure what to make – this week’s challenge sparked immediate inspiration. Yay! Here’s the card I made to share with you today:

My card closely follows Narelle Farrugia’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge banner. So happy! Here’s a look at the challenge banner from this week’s challenge:

FMS 692My card showcases three icy treats from the Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper that I celebratorily snipped from its pages. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but it’s been REALLY HOT lately, so these drinks are really appealing, right? Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper:

Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, 165586I showcased the papers on two panels of Two-Tone Pool Party Cardstock. Such fun! I embossed the lighter side with one of the embossing folders from the Glass & Gardens Embossing Folders and then scratched the embossed surface with sand paper. Because the Two-Tone papers have a white core, a light scratching exposes the white center. Such fun!

Here’s a closer look at the embossed panel on my card:

The sentiment on my card is built with two must-haves – the Cheers & Sips stamp set (part of the Cheers & Sips Bundle) and the More Messages stamp set (part of the More Messages Bundle). I stamped the sentiments and then snipped them out with my Paper Snips Scissors. Here’s a closer look:

More Messages Bundle, Stampin' Up!, 165473I accented my project with a smattering of Rhinestone Basic Jewels, a classic way to add a little shine.

Your card is stunning! I love how you sanded the two toned card stock! I need to get mine out ( I bought a combo pack from last chance earlier this year)
Thanks for the link to see other people’s cards.
Excited to get the Super Awesome kit and see those awesome cards you and Emma created! Enjoy your day!

    • Thanks so much, Dawn! I adore a simple sketch that allows creators to make NEARLY anything but still shave away that one element of the design. SO glad you liked the other projects, too. I’m finding more and more ways to use the two-tone cardstock, so I’ll be stocking up on more of it. Hope your day is great! ♥
