Painterly Pears Meets Need for Tweed

I received a little challenge from a friend this week – make something fun with the new Need for Tweed Designer Series Paper. The fun patterns in this pack of papers can be challenging – I get it – but I immediately knew I wanted to “pair” this tweed pattern with a “pear.” They are a “pear-fect” match – OK, I’ll stop. Here’s the card I made to share with you today:

Painterly Pears Designer Series Paper, Perfectly Pears Bundle, Need for Tweed Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingThe still life painting of pears on my card are snipped right from the Painterly Pears Designer Series Paper – more on that in a bit. You might assume I didn’t use any of the elements from the bundle, but you would be wrong. The sentiment and ground speckles are pulled from the stamp set, and the thin frame around the sentiment is pulled from the dies. You were right – I didn’t showcase the most obvious elements of the bundle, but I still played with the bundle on this DSP-heavy card. Here’s a look at the Perfectly Pears Bundle, new in Stampin’ Up!’s July 2025 Online Exclusives release:

The pears and the Secret Sea grid pattern on my card are pulled from this gorgeous pack of papers. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Painterly Pears Designer Series Paper:

With shades of green in both papers, it’s easy to find a correlation.
