I’m a huge fan of the photo-real Designer Series Papers Stampin’ Up! has released over the years. I was immediately in love with the Need for Tweed Designer Series Papers that were released in July’s Online Exclusives launch, but I knew these might be a little tricky. My initial reaction to these designs is that they are best enjoyed in small bites (small strips or pieces on the card). On Monday I shared a card that features a small strip of the green tween pattern in the Need for Tweed Designer Series Paper – but I challenged myself to make it more of a feature. Here’s the card I made:
My card features two panels from the Need for Tweed Designer Series Paper (a 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ Basic Beige panel in the background and a 2-3/4″ x 4-3/4″ Basic Black panel on top of that). They couldn’t be more beautiful and more interesting on the card front – don’t you think? Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Need for Tweed Designer Series Paper:
There’s so much to love above the Need for Tweed Designer Series Paper (the name is a great starting place). I’ve never seen Top Gun, but I recognize the reference). You are going to want to run your finger over the pages even though they are smooth pieces of paper. AND…the colors are great (either Fall-themed or Christmas-themed or neutral blends for any occasion). Here’s a closer look at the pages I showcased on my card:
You might have missed them on my first photo of the card, but I added three Neutral Matte Dots (Basic Black) around the sentiment for an added element. These are shown in the photo above. I cropped a Basic Black circle with the Spotlight on Nature Dies and then punches a Basic White circle with my 3-3/8″ Circle Punch. Here’s a closer look:
And how perfect is that sentiment for the card? I love the fonts and sayings in the With You in Mind stamp set – here’s a look at what’s included in this exceptional set:
Today is a great time to pick up the products I showcased today so that you can save on shipping costs. Here’s a look at the products I used on today’s card:
Stamps: With You in Mind Papers: Need for Tweed Designer Series Paper, Basic Black, Basic White Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black Accessories: Spotlight on Nature Dies, 2-3/8″ Circle Punch, Neutral Matte Dots (Basic Black), Stampin’ Dimensionals
