After a delicious brunch yesterday, we wandered into HomeGoods in search of a couple of odds and ends. The place was bursting with Halloween and Fall décor – aisles upon aisles of pumpkins, candles, and spooky delights. We had no plans to indulge … but somehow left with kitchen towels, two glass pumpkins, and a hauntingly fun candlestick holder. Clearly, the Halloween spirit had followed me home – because when I sat down to create, this festive card came to life:
My card features a playful label stamp (and two coordinating dies) from the Fright Night Bundle. While this set is packed with so many other great elements—spider webs, a creepy-crawly spider, banners, and fantastic sentiments—I decided to bring in a few other supporting characters to complement the label. I embossed a panel of Cajun Craze cardstock with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder to add a touch of texture. Three strands of black twine are tied beneath the label, creating a subtle, spiderweb-like effect. For a perfectly coordinated finish, I colored three white Neutral Matte Dots with Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends. Here’s a closer look:
I love the change of seasons—especially when it inspires a shift in the colors we reach for. If you’re as smitten with this warm mix of Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, and Basic Black as I am, be sure to save this combo for future inspiration:
